 "マルクト広場" / "Grote Markt" / "Great Market Square" で遅いランチをとりました。

珍しくRがお店の候補をあげていたので、そこへ行きました。

"House Craenenburg" ('ハウス・クレネンブルク'と発音するのかな？) というお店で、古くから立つ建物の名前に由来して名付けたようです。

その建物の名前は、建設当時 (1305年)の住人の名前なので、昔の建物のオーナーの名前をつけているのです。

現在のオーナーは、ボッテ家 (family Boedt)で、その3代目が経営するのが、
"House Craenenburg"というレストランです。

とても珍しく屋外の席を選びました。
It was very rare, we chose an outdoor table.

We had our lunch in  "Grote Markt" / "Great Market Square".

Unusually R had a recommended restaurant for our lunch, so we went there.

There is a restaurant : "House Craenenburg", the name seems to come from the old building's name.

The name of the old building (1305) comes from the name of the first owner family.

Today, the Boedt family is its owner and the 3rd Boedt manages the restaurant.

Rは蒸しサーモン焼きとマッシュポテト。
Rの食の問題を解決してくれました。

R had a dish, pan-fried salmon and mashed potato.
They could manage R's food problem.

北海でとれたムール貝

セロリと玉ねぎを炒めた中にムール貝と白ワインを入れて蒸しています。

この味付けが定番なのだとこのとき知りました。
とっても美味しかったです〜！

Mussels taken from the North Sea

Steamed celery and onion with mussels and white wine in sauce.

By then I  knew this seasoning is the standard for "Mussels in a Pan".
They were very delicious ~!

'デュ・ハルヴ・マーン' /  'De Halve Maan' 醸造所' でビールを飲んで、また、ここでも飲んでいます(笑)。

ここでは、歴史的な建物の観光とか、芸術鑑賞をする意思をまったくもちあわせていませんでした。

私は、有名株のシメイ/ Chimay ビールを飲んでいます。
Rは、'デュ・ハルヴ・マーン' の 
'ブルッグス ゾット ブロンド' / 'Brugse Zot Blond'を
また飲んでいます。

I was drinking a famous Chimay beer.

R had a glass of 'Brugse Zot Blond' from 'De Halve Maan', again.

We drank beer at the 'De Halve Maan' brewery and we were drinking here again (Laugh).

Here, we did not make a tour of historical buildings or have the intention to appreciate art at all.

プレッツェル
ベルギーでプレッツェルをよく見るのではないかと思いましたが、
ここでしか私は見ませんでした。
いろいろな場所にあったのかもしれませんが、
自分が気がつかなかったのでしょう。

Pretzels

I guessed that I might often see pretzels in Belgium,

though I only saw them here.

They may have been in various places, but I did not notice.

私は、最後に酔い覚ましの水を！
Lastly I had a drink of water, something to sober me up...

店内 / Inside

ランチには遅い時間なので、店内は静かです。
It was late for lunch, so the inside was quiet.

二重の堀と城壁に囲まれた要塞都市であることがよくわかりますね。
北の方角は左下になります。

We can see that it was a fortified city surrounded by walls and a double moat.

遅いランチをすませた後、私達は街の東にある'十字の門' ('Kruispoort') に、歩いて向かいました。

After having our late lunch, we walked to the 'cross of the gate' ('Kruispoort') in the east of the town.

ブリュージュへの日帰り旅行は楽しく終えました。
