鎌倉文学館の薔薇、バラ、ローズ / Roses in Kamakura Museum of Literature

 Kamakura Museum of Literature 

友人Mが我が家を訪ねてくれました(2泊3日)。

Mとは英国の英語学校で知り合いました。

出会った当時は日本の大学生だったMは、今では社会人となりました。

ですが、今年、彼女は会社をやめて英国に留学するそうです。

２日めの滞在時に、彼女と鎌倉文学館へ行きました。

館内では
『太宰治 VS 津島修二』展 : 4月27日~7月7日
 (太宰治と津島修二は同一人物です)
庭では
『バラまつり2013』(5月15日〜6月9日)
が開催されていました。

明るいうちに薔薇を見たいと思ったので、まずは庭へ行き、
その後、閉館まで館内見学及び『太宰治VS津島修二』展を見ました。

時間がなくて『太宰治VS津島修二』展は、駆け足に近い状態でした。

Rは日本語はわからないので、館内では内装、古き鎌倉のジオラマのミニチュアや写真などを見ています。

Friend M

Friend M visited us, for two nights three days.

I met her in an English language school in Britain when she was a Japanese university student. 

Now she has been working for a few years. 

However, she will leave her company and she will study in Britain this year.

While she stayed in our house, we went to Kamakura Museum of Literature.

The Museum has an exhibition "Osamu Dazai VS Shouji Tsushima" 
: 27th of April ~ 7th of July ( Osamu Dazai and Shouji Tsushima was the same person.),
and 
"Rose Festival 2013": 5th of May ~ 9th of June, in the garden. 

We would see roses in bright light, so first of all we visited the garden, and later inside until their closing time. 

We looked at the exhibition very quickly, it was not enough time.

R cannot understand Japanese, so usually he enjoyed their interior, the model of the old Kamakura, displays of photographs of old Kamakura.

3)薔薇の名前 / Rose's Name

'薔薇の名前'と聞くと、小説『薔薇の名前』/ 映画『薔薇の名前』： 
 "Le Nom de la Rose"を思い出します。(私は映画しか見ていませんが)

それと、私は、アニメの"マスターキートン"の17話：「バラの館」も思い出します。

文学館のバラ園には、それぞれの薔薇に名札があるので、それぞれの薔薇の名を知ることがきます。

その名を知ったあと、なるほど〜と思ったり、何故かな〜と思ったり.....、作成国のお国柄を感じたり....おもしろく感じます。

新種のバラを開発した人は、その名前をつける権利があると聞いたことがあります。

ロマンチックな話もありそうな気がします。

Rose's Name

When I hear 'Rose's Name', I think of a novel "The Name of the Rose" and a film "The Name of the Rose" .( I only watched the film.)

And also it reminds me of an animation  "Master Keaton", chapter 17: "A Mansion of Roses".

In the museum's garden, there are descriptions of the roses, so we can know their names.

After I knew them, I felt  'Indeed' or 'Why?' and somehow I felt nationality of countries of  the rose. 

It is fun!

I heard if a person makes a new rose, the person could name for that. 

I feel some roses had romantic stories.
