もともと、甘いものにあまり興味がない私でしたが、ベルギーではチョコレートを追いました。
けれども、ベルギーワーッフルと食べていなかったので、最終日の朝、食べに行きました。
Basically I am not interested in sweet things, although in Belgium I
followed chocolates.
However,
I hadn't had a Belgian waffle, so we went to eat one on the
final morning.

2階席も店前にも内庭にも席があり、人気のほどが感じられます。
There
are seats on the first floor seat both in front of the shop and in
the inner courtyard, so you can feel the popularity.
比較的早い時間なので、店は静かです。
そういえば、フリッツ (チップス) のお店も人が居ませんでした。
Because
it is a relatively early time, the shop is quiet.
Now
come to think of it, there were no customers in a Fritz (chips) shop.

あま〜い！
ネット情報で、見かけほど甘くないと、ハチミツがけを薦めていたので、
私はこれを注文しました。
でも〜！しっかり甘くて、シンプルなのにすればよかったと後悔。
通常、私の選択はRのものよりも良いけれど、ここでは失敗！
やっぱり、甘いものに関しては彼の方が鼻が利きます。

should have selected simple one.
Normally
my choice is better than R's, but I fail here.
After
all he has a good nose for sweets, more than me.

例えば、パリ、ロンドン、上海に各一軒、ハワイ店はありますがアメリカ本土にはありません。
日本にもお店が7店舗あります。
以前友人から、ビスケットの詰め合わせをいただいたことがありました。(美味しかったですよ)

ということで、日本人の高級チョコレート好きがわかります。
甘いものが得意ではない私がベルギーではチョコレート店を撮影したり、複数店で買ったりするので、日本人がベルギーチョコレートに寄せる関心の高さが、身をもって感じられます。

In
Belgium, I just photographed some shops.

PIERRE
MARCOLINI's has shops all around the world.
For
example, there is one shop in each of Paris, London, Shanghai and
also in Hawaii but not in the mainland of the United States.
PIERRE
MARCOLINI has seven shops in Japan!
I
and R have each had a set of biscuits from a Japanese friend. (They were delicious)
As
there are 7 shops in Japan (as of March 2018), I can understand
Japanese like upscale chocolate.
I
am not good at sweet things, although I photographed chocolate shops
in Belgium and bought chocolates in some shops, so I can feel the
high interest of Japanese people for Belgian chocolate through myself.

Mary
1919年、ブリュッセルで、マリー
・ドリュック / Mary
Dellucによって、創業
されました。"マリー" /"
Mary" は、日本に店舗がない王室御用達のお店です。
私達は、ブリュージュでここのチョコレートを買いましたが、アントワープでは店外から撮影のみしました。
Mary
"Mary"
has a Belgian Royal Warrant, though they are not yet in
Japan.
"Mary"
was establish in Brussels by Mary Delluc in 1919.In Japan, there are
"Mary's" shops,
a chocolate company although it is different from this
"Mary".
We
bought their chocolate in Bruges, although I only photographed
a shop in Antwerp from outside.

ブリュージュ店とは違うセンスを感じます。
ブリュージュ店がオーソドックスな感じで、こちらは新しいアイディアが盛り込まれているように思います。
I
feel this shop has a different sense from the Bruges shop.
My
feeling was that the Bruges shop was orthodox, I
think this shop has new ideas.

私が感動したのは、ペーパーカップケーキでシャンデリアを作っている事でした。
クリップを使用し、止めています。
アントワープ現代美術館: "MHKA"でもクリップを使用していたことを思い出しました。
どこかのウィンドーディスプレイでも使用されていました...。
アントワープはクリップ使用がトレンディなのでしょうか？
I was impressed by the way they made chandeliers with cupcake liners.
I also remember their use in a window display somewhere in Antwerp....

アントワープのシンボルの手をデザインしたお土産や、そのほか、市内では、たくさん見られます。
一般的なのが、チョコレートまたはビスケット。
もともと甘いものが苦手なのに、アントワー プでは自分が食べる20年分のチョコレートを食べたと感じていたので、"Phlips's
Buscuit"はパスしました。

"Phlips's Biscuit"
We can see many souvenirs with designs of hands, the Antwerp symbol, in the city.
Often the souvenirs are chocolates or biscuits.
What
I did not buy, though I was interested in was something from "Phlips's Biscuit".
Since I am not good at sweet things, I felt that I ate 20 years-worth of chocolate in Antwerp, so I resisted "Phlips's Biscuit".
