3月11日に私と夫Rは、 鎌倉広町緑地の大桜を見に行きました。

すでに開花していたので、驚きました。

今日は、どれほど咲いているか、気になり出かけました。

Rは桜や富士山が大好きで、大桜の開花の様子を私よりもずっと気にしているようでした。

11日は、時間がなく大桜だけを見て帰宅しましたが、今回は時間に追われることなく、 鎌倉広町緑地の外周コースに沿ってを歩きました。

鎌倉広町緑地、鎌倉山入り口

入り口、相模湾、七里ヶ浜住宅街への階段を

収めるように撮影しました。

Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi, Kamakurayama Entrance 

I photographed the Entrance, Sagami Bay, 

and the steps leading to Shichirigahama residential area.

Kamakurayama Entrance

On 11th of March,  I and my husband R went to see the big cherry tree : 'Ozakura' in Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi.

I was surprised because it was already in bloom.

Today, we were wondering how much it was blooming and went out.

R loves cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji, and seems to be much more concerned about the blooming of 'Ozakura' than I am.

We had no time after going home to see 'Ozakura' on the 11th, but this time we walked along the Outer Circumference Course of the Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi without worrying about the time.

⑳ : 鎌倉山入り口 / Kamakurayama Entrance 

11日にはなかった告知がありました。

There was a request notice
for Cherry Blossom Viewing Parties : 'Ohanami',
which was not here on the 11th.

緑地へ入った途端に、大きな木々に囲まれます...素敵！

As soon as you enter the Ryokuchi space, 

you will be surrounded by big trees ... Lovely!

しばらく歩くと登り階段があります(コンクリートではありません)。

If we walk for a while, we will find Climbing Steps (Not concrete).

私のお気に入りポイント
階段の途中で相模湾が見えます。

My favourite Point

I can see Sagami Bay from Middle of Steps.

今日は、伊豆大島が見えます。

島の上にポッカリ雲が浮かんでいます。

Today, I can see Izu Oshima Island.

A cloud is floating above the island.

B. 鎌倉山分岐 / Kamakurayama Junction

階段の後 
鎌倉山入り口、石切場、外周コースの選択があります。
木の影が面白いな〜と撮影。

 After Steps
There are choices for Kamakurayama entrance, Quarry,
and Outer Circumference Course.
I felt the shadow of the tree is interesting and photographed.

大桜は、"●  : 桜大木" と表示されています。

桜大木の場所で行き止まりです。

 ⑧ Kamakurayama Junction

 'Ozakura' is displayed as "●  : 桜大木" .

It is a dead end at the place of 'Ozakura'.

To Right : Kamakurayama Entrance 
To Left : Quarry

私達は外周コースを進みます。
We follow the Outer Circumference Course.

周囲の景色、木々を楽しみながら歩きます。

Walk while enjoying the surrounding scenery and trees.

'大桜' への標識を見つけ、右の脇道に入ります。

Find the sign for 'Ozakura' and take the side path on the right.

緩やかな登りです。
It is a gentle climb.

新芽
この植物は緑地には多くあり、新芽もたくさんつけていました。
形が面白く感じ、多くの撮影をしました。

Sprout

This plant was abundant in the Ryokuchi and had many sprouts.

The shape is interesting and I took a lot of photographs.

桜の新芽が目に留まり、桜の木に気がつきました。

Cherry Sprout
My eye was caught by the sprouts and then
I notice here is a cherry tree.

見上げると桜が....
Looking up, Cherry Blossoms ...

高い位置に日が当たるからでしょうか？
歩ている目線では桜の花を見つけられません。
緑地内の殆どの桜はオオシマザクラ(大島桜)と聞いています。
なので、白い花です。

Is it because the high position has got the sunlight?
I can't find the cherry blossoms from a walking perspective.
I heard that most of cherry trees in Ryokuchi are 
Prunus Speciosa : Oshima- zakura.
So there are white flowers.

緑地内では多くの桜が咲いていましたが、
そのほとんどが目線上にはありませんでした。
桜の撮影は首をのけぞらせてしました。

Many cherry blossoms were in bloom in the Ryokuchi, 

but most of them were not in my line of sight.

When I photographed the cherry blossoms,

 I arched my neck.

巨木 / Huge Tree

見上げます。/ Look Up!

周囲の木々も大きい！
The surrounding trees are also big!

右上のほんのりピンクの部分は桜でです。
これは山桜なのでしょうか？

The slightly pink part on the upper right is the cherry blossoms.
Is this a wild cherry tree : Yama-zakura?

2) '大桜'に到着 / Arrive at 'Ozakura'

A. '大桜' / 'Ozakura'

到着
全部一斉に咲くことはないのかもしれません。
11日よりは、咲いている部分が増えていました。
全体像の写真では、どこが咲いている部分なのか
よくわかりませんね。

Arriving

It may not bloom all at once.

From the 11th, the number of blooming parts has increased.

You can't really tell where the blooming parts are 

in the photographs of the whole tree.

樹形そのものが面白いので、見ていて飽きません。

The tree shape itself is interesting, 

so I won't get tired of looking it.

ベンチがあります。 / There are benches.

樹齢は 200年以上と言われています。

種類は オオシマザクラ(大島桜)とヤマザクラ (山桜) の雑種です。

It is said that 'Ozakura' in Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi 

is over 200 years old.

The species is a hybrid of Prunus Speciosa : Oshima- zakura and 

a wild cherry tree : Yama-zakura.

B. お隣にも / Also Next Door

大桜のお隣 (北西側) にも、高い木の桜があります。

そちらは、かなり咲いていました。

There is also a high cherry tree next (North West side) to 'Ozakura'.

It had more flowers open.

Rがお隣の桜へ向かって登っています。

R is climbing towards the cherry next door.

たか〜いところで咲いています。
It blooms in hi~ghh places.

大桜の方へ戻ります。
We return to 'Ozakura'.

1) 外出 / Go Out

定期検診(血液検査)の結果を聞きに外出しました。

その外出を利用し、姉Yからの買い物雑も済ませました。

夫Rもこの機会に一緒に外出し、欲しかった紅茶を手に入れました。

Go Out

I went out to hear the results of regular examinations (blood tests).

Using that outing, I finished shopping for miscellaneous things for my sister Y.

My husband R also came out on this occasion and got the tea he wanted.

コーナー・ライト
角地に明るく咲いて目を惹きました。
バスの時間を気にしつつ、急いでカメラをケースから出して撮影。
検診の結果が良いサインに感じられました。
結果、私は好きに食べ、好きに飲めます〜！
ラッキ〜！

Corner Lights

These bloomed brightly on the corner and caught my eye.

While I was careful of the bus time, I hurriedly took my camera 

out of the case and took photographs.

This felt like a good sign for the result of the examination.

As it turned out I can eat and drink as I like!

Lucky!

 2) 鎌倉の店 / Shops in Kamakura

'鳩サブレー' 
鎌倉土産と言えば、'鳩サブレー'です。
Yからの依頼は、鳩サブレー' と、
新しい鎌倉の名物、'クルミッ子'でした。

 'Hato Sablés' 

Speaking of souvenirs from Kamakura, these are 'Hato Sablé', 

 a famous confectionery that represents Kanagawa Prefecture, 

biscuits shaped like a pigeon. 

Hato meas pigeon.

The requests from Y were for 'Hato Sablé' and 

a new Kamakura specialty, 'Kurumicco'.

クルミッ子 / Kurumicco

'クルミッ子'は、店(会社)として、'鳩サブレ'の規模には程遠く、1日の生産量に限りがあり、午前中で売り切れということもあります。

コロナ禍で、たまの外出で、人気があるように見えたお店でさえも閉店していることを知ります。

鎌倉大仏の近くにあった 'クルミッ子' の支店も閉店し心配しました。

ですが、若宮大路沿いの本店と支店は営業していてホッとしています。

この日は、ルセットのパンを買おうと出店 (支店というより出店のようなサイズでした）へ行きました。

この出店は以前はあったのですが、コロナ禍の前に、いつの間にかなくなってしまっていました。

最近、長谷・極楽寺間にある、 "カフェ ルセット" : "café recette" へ行き、その出店が再オープンしたことを知りました。

④ 2021年2月27日 散策 : 極楽寺の後 ~カフェ ルセット / Take a

それで、この日、私達はその出店へ向かったのです。

お店はシャッターが閉まり、'2月28日で閉店した' ことを告げる張り紙がありました。

これは、コロナのためであろうと推測します。

閉店するお店も確かにありますが、新しいお店や支店もかなりできています。

緊急事態宣言が出されている神奈川県ですが、たまの外出で鎌倉を見る限りでは、観光客はいつもよりも少なめですが、観光地であることを証明するくらいの人出は感じられます。

現在、鎌倉のお店にとっては、観光客が来てくれることを望んでいるように感じられます。

健康面と経営面の兼ね合いが難しい社会で、何が正しいかもわからないまま、その都度、最善の選択をしてゆくしかありませんね。

後になって、その選択が間違っていたとしても、その時の選択をあまり批判したくないと思うのは、私だけでしょうか？

Shops in Kamakura

As a shop (company), 'Kurumicco' is far from the scale of 'Hato Sablés', the daily production is limited, and it may be sold out in the morning.

With the coronavirus crisis, on occasional outings I find out that even some shops which seemed to be popular have shut up.

The branch of 'Kurumicco', which was near the Great Buddha (Kōtoku-in Temple) had been shut too, so I was worried.

However, I am relieved that the main shop and a branch along Wakamiya Oji are still managed.

Today, we went to a stall (it was more like a stall than a branch), to buy 'recette bread'.

This stall (shop) used to be open before the coronavirus crisis, it closed while we didn't know.

Recently, we visited  "café recette" which is between Hase and Gokurakuji, and found out that the stall (shop) was reopened.

④ 2021年2月27日 散策 : 極楽寺の後 ~カフェ ルセット / Take a

So, on this day, we headed for the stall (shop) .

The shop had a shutter down and there was a sticker saying that it was closed on 28th of February.

I guess this is because of Corona.

Certainly some shops have closed, but there are quite a few new ones and branches.

Although Kanagawa Prefecture has announced 'a state of emergency', the number of tourists is smaller than usual as far as 

I seen when I have occasionally been out in Kamakura, however, there are still enough people to prove that it is a tourist destination.

At present, it seems to be that the shops in Kamakura want tourists to come.

In a society where it is difficult to balance health and economy, we have no choice but to make the best choice each time without knowing what is right.

Am I the only one who later doesn't want to criticize the choices so much, even if the choices are wrong?

3) 'ジャンナッツ・ティ' / 'Janat Tea'

昨年からRが英国と日本の行き来ができず、英国の紅茶が残り少なくなっています。

一度は英国の彼の友人から、彼のお気に入りの紅茶を送ってもらいましたが、それも残り少なくなっています。

友人に何度も頼むこともできず、Rは日本で手に入る紅茶購入を何度か試しています。

随分前に 'ジャンナッツ・ティ' / 'Janat Tea' を買い、彼は好印象を持っていました。

'カルディ'/ 'Kaldi' : ★で、'ジャンナット・ティ' を買いました。
We bought  'Janat Tea' in 'Kaldi' : ★. 

Since last year, R has been unable to travel between Britain and Japan, and British 's  tea is running low.

Once he had his friend in Britain send him his favourite tea, but it's running low, too.

Unable to ask his friend over and over, R has tried several times to buy tea available in Japan.

He bought  'Janat Tea' long ago and he had a good impression.

蓋の裏に可愛い地図があり、地図ファンの私はもちろん、
撮影しました。

Map on Back of Lid
There is a lovely map on the back of the lid,
and of course I, who am a map fan, took a photograph.

猫のキャラクター
地図に目が止まり、箱の底の猫のカップルもついでに
撮影しました。
私は猫ファンではないので、猫のキャラクターを気に留めて
いませんでしたが、箱の表にも、ティバックにも
猫がデザインされていました。

Cat Character

My eye was caught by the map and incidentally I photographed 

the couple of cats on the bottom of the box.

I'm not a cat fan, so I didn't care about the cat characters, 

but the cats are designed on the front of the box and the teabags.

缶入り
以前買った紅茶は、ルーズ・ティで缶入りでした。
今回はティバックで紙の箱入り。
これにも猫のキャラクターが入っています。
エッフェル塔の印象は強く残っていましたが
猫のキャラクターにはあまり気を惹かれていませんでした。

Canned

 We bought the tea before which was a loose tea in a tin can.

This time it is teabags in a paper box.

This also contains a cat character.

The impression of the Eiffel Tower remained strong, 

but I wasn't very attracted to the cat character.

缶を気に入っていたので、保存していましたが
詳細部分に目は留めていませんでした。

見直してみるとかなり凝ったデザインです。

猫のキャラクターも複数あります。

I liked the can, so I have kept it, 

but I didn't pay attention to the details.

When I reviewed it, I noticed that the design is quite elaborate. 

There are also multiple cat characters.

この缶を利用して保存していますが、
全ては入りきらず、他の紅茶の缶(下の画像) も
使いました。

I used this tin to store the teabags,
but they didn't all fit in and I used another tin, below.

小さな冊子
今回購入した箱には、小さな冊子がついていました。
撮影前に私がタイトル部分を切り抜いて
手持ちの缶(上の画像)に貼ってしまいました。

Small Booklet

The box I bought this time came with a small booklet.

Before photographing, I cut out the title parts and 

pasted them on my can, above.

冊子には、猫がキャラクターになった理由が書かれていました。

The booklet describes why cats became characters.

Can you read?

冊子の表と内側にはエッフェル塔がデザインされています。
The Eiffel Tower is designed on the front and inside of the booklet.

いつも使用していた紅茶が手に入らず、違う紅茶を試す機会を得たことは、良いことに思います。

定番は大切ですが、違うものにトライすることは、心身ともに活性化します。

それは大きな事柄なく、小さな事柄でも、結構有意義なのではないかと感じます。

I think it's good that we didn't get the tea we use all the time and had the opportunity to try different teas.

The standard is important, but trying something different can rejuvenate our body and mind.

I feel that it is not a big thing, and even a small thing is quite meaningful.
