私と夫Rは、用事を済ませに鎌倉駅周辺に外出しました。
その1つはクリスマスプレゼントにする鎌倉土産を購入することでした。
通常よりも、早く家を出たので、鎌倉市農協連即売所 (カマクラシ
ノウキョウレン ソクバイジョ)：レンバイにまだ野菜がたくさん並んでいました。
目的は、レンバイで野菜を購入することではありませんでしたが、私達にとっては、珍しい情景だったので、足を踏み入れました。

A Lot of Vegetables
My husband R and I went out to the Kamakura Station area to run some errands.
One of them was to buy souvenirs from Kamakura to give as Christmas presents.
As we left home earlier than usual, there were still lots of vegetables on display in the Kamakura City Agricultural Cooperative Association Sales Centre : Renbai.
Our purpose wasn't to buy vegetables in the Renbai, but it was an unusual sight so we decided to have a look.
B. '鎌倉野菜' / 'Kamakura Vegetables'
ここで売られる野菜は、'鎌倉野菜'と呼ばれ、ブランド化されています。
なので、たいして安いわけではありません。
最近では、観光地の1つにもなっています。
'Kamakura Vegetables'
The vegetables sold here are called 'Kamakura Vegetables' and are branded.
So they are not particularly cheap.
Lately it has become a popular tourist destination.

私は、このマークを店やスーパーで見たことがありません。
私が気がつかないだけでしょうか？
専門の方々向けなのでしょうか？
I have never seen this mark in a shop or supermarket.
Maybe I just haven't noticed?
Is it aimed at professionals?

| ロマネスコとカリフラワー ロマネスコはその形状から、クリスマスツリーを思わせます。 黄色いカリフラワーが珍しく感じました。 ここではこの2つの野菜を買いました。 Romanesco And Cauliflower Romanesco's shape reminds me of a Christmas tree. Yellow cauliflower is unusual for me. We bought these two vegetables here.  |
2) 鎌倉山の紅葉
Autumn Leaves in Kamakurayama
バスで、鎌倉山まで戻ってきました。
鎌倉で、山全体の紅葉を見ることは、(なかなか) ありません。
少しでも色づく木を見つけて、あっ！紅葉だと喜んでいます。
ろうそうくの火に手をかざして、あ〜っ、あったかい！と感じる気持ちに似ているように思います。
Autumn Leaves in Kamakurayama
We returned to Kamakurayama by bus.
It's not often that we can see autumn leaves covering the entire mountain in Kamakura.
When I find even the slightest bit of colour on a tree, I'm delighted to see that "Oh! it's autumn leaves".
It's similar to the feeling I get when I hold my hands over a candle flame and feel how warm it is.
3) クリスマスプレゼントの準備
Preparing for Christmas Gifts
帰宅後、クリスマスプレゼントの準備を始めました。
プレゼントの配分を考えたり、カードを選び、書いたり、包装をしたり、結構、手間と時間がかかります。
ですが、友人達のことを思い浮かべ、考えることは、楽しいし、暖かな気持ちになります。
Preparing for Christmas Gifts
After we got home, we started preparing Christmas presents.
It takes a lot of time and effort to decide how to distribute the presents, choose and write cards, and wrap them.
However, thinking about our friends is enjoyable and makes me (us) feel warm inside.
