| 本焼終了 大皿に、'青色ガラス釉' を初めて使用しました。 透明釉を大皿に用いると割れる可能性が高かったので これは割れず一安心しました。 オブジェをセットした姿は、個展会場へ見に来てください。 2月10日 Finished Glaze Firing I used 'Blue Glass Glaze' on a platter for the first time. | 素焼終了 素焼にはアルミナペーパーを敷く必要はありません。 ですが私は下記2点を防ぐために使用する場合があります。 1) 作品裏にカラースリップを使用すると焼成棚に 色が移る時があり、それが次の作品へ移ってしまいます。 2) 焼成棚に釉薬がついていて、それが作品についてしまいます。 以前はアルミナ粉を使用していましたが、 現在はアルミナペーパーを使用しています。 アルミナペーパーは一度の使用ですが、アルミナ粉は何度も 使用でき経済的です。ですが、時として粉が作品に付着してしまう(棚、棚の切り目から落ちる) のでペーパーに変えました。 2月15日 Finished Biscuit Firing There is no need to lay aluminum paper for biscuit firing. However, I may use it to prevent the following two points. 1) If I use a colour slip on the back of a work, the colour may stick to the firing shelf, which will move to the next work. 2) There is a glaze on a firing shelf, which attaches to the work. I used to use alumina powder, but now I use alumina paper. Alumina paper can only be used once, but alumina powder can be used many times, which is economical. However, sometimes the powder adheres to the work (falls through the cuts in the shelves), so I changed to paper. |
3) 'A-6' 設定 / 'A-6' Setting

| 本焼開始 窯 - No.1 'A-6' 設定 : 温度 1240°C、ねらし20分 釉薬を厚めに施したので通常よりも高い温度設定にしました。 この窯には、修正のため、2度目の本焼の作品も入っています。 2月16日 Start Glaze Firing Kiln - No.1 'A-6' setting : temperature 1240°C, soak for 20 minutes. Since the glaze was applied thickly, the temperature was set higher than usual. This kiln also contains a second glaze firing work for correction (repair). 16th of February |

| 本焼終了 厚く塗った釉薬が優しいぽってりした感じに仕上がりました。 2度目の本焼の作品は修正できたものと酷くなったものの2通り。 いつも2度目の本焼をするときは賭けのようなものです。 私は、その賭けを楽しんでいると思います。 2月18日 Finished Glaze Firing The thickly applied glaze gives a gentle chubby feeling. There are two results of the second glaze firing works, one that has been repaired and one that has become worse. It's like a bet when I always do a second glaze firing. | 素焼終了 'リング' は私の作品では重要で、この焼成は 主にリング作品のためでした。 リング作品は、窯のスペース的にいうと効率が悪いですが、 仕方がありません。 素焼はまだ重ねられますが、本焼は重ねられません。 以前は、リング内のスペースのために作品作りをしていましたが、 今回は、自分の体力保存のためにしていません。 2月20日 Finished Biscuit Firing 'Ring' is important in my work and this firing was mainly for the ring works. Ring works are inefficient in terms of kiln space, though it can't be helped. In biscuit firing, they can still be layered, but not in glaze firing. Previously, I was making works for the space inside the rings, but this time, I didn't do it to save my physical strength. 20th of February |

| 本焼終了 最も心配していた、テストピースの大皿が 豪快に割れてました。 釉薬の密度が濃かったのだと思います。 この透明釉は、かなり薄めようと思います。 市販の釉薬の方は安定してます。 ちなみに、割れたかけらが美しいので、 気落ちしつつも見惚れてしまいます。 2月22日 Finished Glaze Firing I was most worried about the test pice platter, result ; dynamic break. I think the glaze was too dense. I'm going to dilute this transparent glaze considerably. The commercial glaze is stable. By the way, the broken pieces are beautiful, so I am fascinated by them, even though I am disappointed. |

| 釉掛け後 新しい透明釉に水を追加して薄めました。 透明釉はすぐに材料が沈むので、夫Rの手を借りて攪拌しつつ 素早くお皿 (素焼) を釉薬にくぐらせました。 2月24日 After Glazing I added water to the new transparent glaze and diluted it. 素焼終了 素焼は無事終了。 雲シリーズの釉がけがうまくいったので 同様の方法でしてみようと思います。 本焼は2月28日に開始しました。 終了は3月なので、3月の焼成セクションに載せます。 刻々と個展の日取りが迫ってきました！ 2月28日 Finished Biscuit Firing The biscuit firing was finished successfully. The glaze of the cloud series went well, so I will try it in the same way. The glaze firing started on 28th of February. It will finish in March, so I will put it in the firing section of March. Every moment my exhibition gets closer. |
8) 思索 / Thinking
好きなものが作れた時に、この方向の作品を作ってみよう...と思います。
ですが、作っているうちに、ああしたらどうだろう、こうしたらどうだろうとアイディアを組み込みます。
陶芸作品にしてもリトグラフ作品にしても、全ての作品が違うものになります。
その変化は微妙すぎて、自分にしかわからないのかもしれません。
また、同じものを作ろうと思ったとしても同じものになりません。
英国留学前に、ある有名な陶芸家であり、大学のK先生から、
「同じものが作れるようになったら、プロです」
と言われました。
時々、その言葉を思い返し、私はプロではないのかな？と思って、気落ちします。
同じものが作れないという点と矛盾するかもしれませんが、大体の方向性としては、ずっと同じものを作っている、何を作っても同じだと自覚しています。
また、そうでありたいとも思っています。
何を作っても、coonie。
何を作っても、coonie's world の実現。
興味深いことに、前述の先生のY奥様 (この方も陶芸家です) から
「coonieさんは、何をやっても同じね」
と言われ、喜んだことがあります。
喜んだ私の姿を見て、Yさんは驚かれた様子だったので、彼女は批判する意味でその言葉を私に向けたことに後になって気がつきました。
技を極める伝統工芸でもない、思考( 概念)が先行する現代美術でもない、こんな私を受け入れてくれたのが、Galerie412です。
やっと、今の自分に合う場所を見つけたのです。
2月が終わろうとする頃に、自分の焼成を通して、'自分の創作' ということをあらためて気がついいたり、考えたりしました。
余談ですが、K先生は、彼の都合が許せば、私の個展へいらしてくださいます。

Thinking
When I can make something I like, I will try to make a work in this direction.
However, while I'm making it, I'll incorporate ideas into what to do this way or that way.
Whether it's a ceramic work or a lithograph work, every work is different.
The change may be so subtle that only I can see it.
Also, even if I try to make something the same, it is never the same.
Before studying in Britain, a famous ceramist, a university Professor K, told me.
"If you can make the same thing, you're a professional."
Sometimes I think back on his saying and am I not a professional? I am discouraged.
It may be inconsistent with the fact that I can't make the same thing, but as a general direction, I realize that I've been making the same thing all the time, no matter what I make.
I also want to be that way.
No matter what I make, coonie.
No matter what I make, the realization of coonie's world.
Interestingly, I was pleased to hear from the above-mentioned teacher's wife, Y (who is also a potter or a ceramist), saying,
"coonie makes the same no matter what you do."
Seeing my delighted appearance, Y seemed surprised, so later I realized that she turned the word to me in the sense of criticism.
Galerie412 has accepted me who does not seek a traditional craft masters skill, I do not try to make contemporary art preceded by thinking (concept).
At last, now I have found a place that suits me.
By the end of February, through my firings, I was reminded and thought about 'my creation'.
As an aside, Professor K has sometimes visited my exhibitions if it suits his convenience.
