お正月のディスプレイ
カードは英国留学報告をかねた、2007年個展のDM。
ゆずは姉Yの庭から。
みかんは友人Aricoさんの庭から。
陶器のお飾りは友人Suさんから。
(お飾りはセットになっていてゲームができます）
お猪口(チョコ)は私の学生時代の作品。
木の台は祖父の手作り。
七草茶。

New Year Display

The card is an invitation card for the 2007 exhibition,

 which showed studying in Britain.

Yuzu is from my sister Y's garden.

Mikan from my friend Arico's garden.

The pottery decoration is from my friend Su San.

(The decoration is a set and we can play a game.)

Sake cup : O-choko is my student work.

The wooden stand is handmade by my grandfather.

Seven Herb Tea

七草茶

ほぼ毎年1月7日には、七草粥を食べていました。

今年は、七草茶を飲んでみようと思い、用意していました。

Seven Herbs Tea

Almost every on 7th of January,

 I eat Seven Herbs rice gruel : Nanakusa-gayu.

According to Wiki about Seven Herbs,

"The Festival of Seven Herbs or 

Nanakusa no sekku (Japanese: 七草の節句) 

is the long-standing Japanese custom of 

eating seven-herb rice porridge (nanakusa-gayu) 

on January 7."

使用した七草茶には、シソの香りが付けられています。
なので、七草の香りよりも、シソの香りがし、
シソ茶のようです。
七草茶のみよりも、きっと飲みやすく作られているのでしょう。
 七草嫌いの夫Rも１杯、きちんと飲んでくれました。

The seven herbs tea used has Shiso scent.

Therefore, it has a Shiso scent rather than the seven herbs, 

and is more like Shiso tea.

It must have been made easier to drink than just seven herbs tea.

  My husband R, who hates seven herbs, also drank a cup properly.

茶粥を作ることもできると説明されていたので

後日、作ってみようと思います。

It is explained that we can also make tea porridge, 

so I will try to make it at a later date.

今日は、お飾りをはずしました。

なんとなく寂しい気がします。

We took down the New Year decorations today.

I feel sad somehow.
