1) 逆輸入の本 / Reimported Book

年のはじめに、"IKIGAI" なんて言うタイトルの本を読むと計画していた訳ではありません。

作者の茂木 健一郎 (モテギ ケンイチロウ / 1962 ~) 氏には申し訳ありませんが、購入でなく図書館で借りました。

随分、人気であったらしく、数ヶ月待って、番が回ってきたのが、

たまたま1月でした。

Reimported Book

I didn't plan to read a book titled "IKIGAI" at the beginning of the year.

I'm sorry to the author, Ken Motegi (1962 ~), but I borrowed it at the library instead of buying it.

It seemed to be quite popular, and after waiting for a few months, it happened that January was my turn.

もともと、この本は英語で書かれ、
海外での出版が先行されました。
なのでターゲットは外国人なのです。
私が日本人のせいか、'感動'と言う感情はわきませんでした。
ただ、最近はあまり好きではない書き方をされていると
途中で読むのをやめてしまいますが、
この本は最後まで読めました。

Originally, this book was written in English and 

published overseas.

So the target is foreigners.

Perhaps because I am Japanese, 

I didn't get the feeling of being "impressed".

However, recently, if I don't like the writing of a book, 

I would stop reading halfway through, 

but I was able to read this book to the end.

2) 反応しない練習 / Unresponsive Practice

この頃、私は、マコナリ社長 : ★と言う方のYoutubeを面白く見ていました。

ただ彼の読書への考え方が私とは違うな〜とは思っていました。

けれども、彼が『反応しない練習』(下の画像)と言う本を絶賛していたので、読んでみようと思い、図書館に予約しました。

多少は待ちましたが、茂木氏の "IKIGAI"ほどには待たずにすみました。

この本も最後まで読むことができました。

おそらくこれは若いうちに、人生の最初のうちに読むべき本なのです。

この本の内容に反対する気持ちは強くありませんし、まあ、そうですよね〜と相槌を打つところも多々ありました。

けれども、もしもクリエイティブな仕事をしたり、アート作品を創作したりする人々にとっては、'反応しない練習'のしすぎは、良い結果を産まないと思います。

Unresponsive Practice

Around this time, I watched some Youtube clips by President Makonari : ★ and enjoyed.

Just one thing, I thought that his way of thinking about reading was different from mine.

However, he praised the book "Unresponsive Practice" (above), so 

I decided to read it and made a reservation at the library.

I waited for a while, but I didn't have to wait as long as Mogi's "IKIGAI".

I was able to read this book to the end.

Perhaps this was a book to read earlier in life when people are young.

I don't have a strong opposition to the contents of this book, and there were many places where I nodded.

However, for people who do creative work or create art works, 

I think that adopting  'Unresponsive Practice' too much, would not produce good results.
