マイヤー・ファン・デン・ベルグ美術館

"マイヤー・ファン・デン・ベルグ美術館" は、'ルーベンスの家'
から近く、チケットも共通券があります。
私は、最初からこの美術館に行くつもりだったので、'ルーベンスの家'
のチケットを購入する際、この共通券を買いました。
貴族のフリッツ・マイヤー・ファン・デン・ベルフ / Fritz Mayer van den Bergh (1858
- 1901)は、人生の殆どを美術品蒐集に費やし、彼の死後、母親のヘンリエッテ・マイヤー(1838 - 1920）によってネオ・ゴシック(ゴシック・リヴァイアル)調の邸宅が建設され、1904年に美術館として開かれます。
'個人コレクション' をその人の邸宅で展示している美術館は、独特のムードがあり、異世界感があり、面白いと感じます。
この美術館も同様です。
アントワープに留学した友人、はっこちゃんもここに何度となく足を運んだそうで、その気持ちがわかります。
私達が訪ねた時は、人もあまりいず、異世界感に浸ることができました。

"Museum Mayer van den Bergh" is close to 'Rubenshuis'
and tickets also have a combination
ticket.

I planned to go to this museum from the beginning, we bought the
tickets when we bought tickets for 'Rubenshuis'
house.
About 'Rubenshuis', below
An aristocrat, Fritz-Meyer
van den Bergh (1858 - 1901) spent most of his life in collecting art,
a Neo-Gothic (Gothic Revival) style mansion was built by his mother, Henriette Maier (1838 - 1920)
after his death, and in 1904 the museum opened.
I
feel that a museum exhibiting 'individual collection' in a person's
mansion has a unique mood, a different-dimension world atmosphere,
and it is interesting.
This is true for this museum.
I
heard that my friend, Hakko Chan who studied in Antwerp, visited
here many times and now I understand her feeling.
When
we visited, there were not too many people, so I could immerse myself in the
different world.

個人宅が美術館になっている場合は、周囲の建物と一体化しているのでちょっと見つけけにくいです。
'ルーベンスの家' でさえも、アピールしてくれていなかったら、通り過ぎてしまいそうな外見でしたし、ここはより一層個人住宅に見えます。
マイヤー・ファン・デン・ベルグ美術館には、良い印象を持ちました。
また行きたい美術館です。
I had a good impression of "Museum Mayer van den Bergh".
I would go to the Museum again.
When a private home is an art museum, it can be hard to find because it is integrated with the surrounding buildings.
Even the "Rubenshuis" appeared easy to pass by without their promotion and here looks more like a private house.

私はこの展示が好きでした。
彫刻の天使が祭壇画の周りを飛び交っていて、3Dグラフィックのアイディアに 近いように思いました。
1899年にフリッツ・マイヤーがブリュッセルの骨董商人から購入しました。
I
do like this display.
The angel sculptures are flying around the altarpiece, the idea seeming to be close to 3D animation.  基本的に 私は、'天使モノ' に惹かれ、立体が好きなのですね。 Basically I am attracted by 'Angels' and I like solids.  |

HOVERING DEMON
17世紀初期
悪魔(上)と良い天使(下)が対比される展示が
面白かったです。
舌を出している悪魔の表情が印象的です。 美術館の特集号の冊子の表紙もこの'悪魔くん'です。
There was fun in the display where
the demon (above) and the angel (below) are contrasted.
The expression of the devil's tongue is impressive.
Also, the cover of the Museum's Exhibition Booklet is the 'Devil Boy'.
 両方、プット（プッティ）です。 Both are 'Putti'. |

上の2体のプット（プッティ）に挟まれる形で展示されているのが、
ピーテル・ブリューゲル / Pieter Bruegel (お父さんの方です/ 1525 - 1569）の
『悪女フリート』(1562)。
この絵も含め、ここは面白い空間に感じました。
Between the two 'Putti' (above), "Dulle Griet" (1562)
by Pieter Bruegel( Father / 1525 - 1569) is displayed.
I feel the arrangement and the spacing here is interesting.

my view, the old handwritten letters have soul or spirit,
and
sometimes the contents seem to spring up as images.

階段や渡り廊下が好き。橋も好きです。

I
like the stairs and the passageway. I also like bridges.
May be there is an attraction to spaces of connections between spaces, or worlds.

"キリストと聖ジョン(聖ヨハネ)"
聖ジョンは、'キリストに愛された弟子'と言われていて、
それがわかるような彫像です。
珍しい情景に感じました。
神と弟子というよりもカップルのようです。
They say 'St. John was a disciple loved by Christ',
I can see this from this statue.
I felt this was unusual view.
They look like a couple rather than a God and a disciple.

Master Heinrich von Konstanz was a sculptor active around 1300 in the
マイヤー・ファン・デン・ベルグ美術館には、良い印象を持ちました。
また行きたい美術館です。
I had a good impression of "Museum Mayer van den Bergh".
I would go to the Museum again.
