緑 : クレア州 [ピンク: 北アイルランド (イギリス)]
Green : County Clare [Pink : Northern Ireland (part of the UK)] カルスト地形 の 'バレン/ Burren' は、クレア州 / County Clare 北西部にあります。 バレン国立公園 (★) は、アイルランドの6つの国立公園の１つで、 15 K㎡の最も小さな国立公園です。
バレンには、たくさんの考古学的な遺跡物 (90以上) がありますが、
最も有名なのが、'巨人のテーブル'と 日本では紹介される
ドルメン (支石墓) ; 'Poulnabrone Dolmen'かもしれません。
'Burren' of karst topography is in the northwestern part of County Clare.
The Burren National Park is one of 6 National Parks in Ireland
and the smallest in size 15 K㎡.
The Burren has many archaeological ruins (over 90),
though 'Poulnabrone Dolmen' might be the most famous.

私は巨石記念物が好きで、随分と、これらを巡る旅をしましたが、
ここ数年、意識的に離れていました。
今回の旅で、再び、巨石記念物や遺跡に触れて、
「やっぱり好きだな〜」と思いました。
Ireland,
the Burren and the Dolmen : Poulnabrone Dolmen
It
is said that there are 172 dolmens in Ireland.
Dolmen and Stone
Circles are included in Megalith
(Megalithic).
I
like Megalith and traveled a lot around these,
though
I have been consciously away for the last few years.
In
this trip again, I touched the Megalith and ruins again
and came to feel "I like them all after all."

Dolin の跡が地図の左にあり、心惹かれるものの、時間が押せ押せになっていたので、'巨人のテーブル' (Portal
Tomb : Dolmen)
を見るのみにしました。

it tempted me, although time was pushing us,

石灰岩の舗道 / Limestone
Pavement
石灰岩は、雨水に溶け、深い裂け目を作ります。
この裂け目はグリーク/
Grikes と呼ばれます。
マルハム・コーブ / Malham
Cove (下の写真) を思い出します。

This are called Grikes.

右(東)の正門の石は、代替えされたものです。
The stone at the main gate : Portal stone on the right (east) was replaced.

| これはお墓でした。 1985年の発掘調査で、5800から5200年前の33人分の人骨が発見されました。 This was a tomb. In the excavation survey in 1985, human bones of 33 people from 5800 to 5200 years ago were discovered.  西側 以前は、縄がありませんでしたが、現在は縄で保護されています。 この石が墓石であることを無視して多くの人がここに登り、 損傷がはげしくなったためだとどこかで読みました。 'ストーンヘンジ' も近づけなくなってしまいましたよね。 West Side In the past there was no rope, though nowadays it is protected by rope.
I
read somewhere that ignoring that this stone was a tombstone,
many people
climbed here and the
damage became worse.
'Stonehenge' is similar.

後ろに置かれているこの石(写真手前)は、'正門の石
/
Portal Stones' の１つで、
東側(写真左)を支えていたものでした。
1986年~ 88年の発掘調査隊によって、新しい正門の石が運ばれ、
元のものはここに置かれています。
This
stone (front of photograph) placed behind was one of the main gate stones / Portal stones,
which supported the east side (on the left).
The
excavation team from 1986 to 1988 carried the new portal here and replaced
the
original one moving the original here.
