7月3〜5日, マンチェスター / Manchester, 3rd ~ 5th of July, 2015

マンチェスターのRの実家
Rの母Jが住んでいます。
滞在中は日本料理を作りました。
Rの妹Cや親友Mを招いた時は巻き寿司を作り、喜ばれました。

R's Parent House in Manchester
R's mother, J lives there.
While I stayed there, I cooked mainly Japanese meals.
When we invited R's sister, C and close friend M,
I made Makizushi and they were pleased.

Jの庭 / J's Garden

ラッキーなことに、庭の先は野原になっているので広々しています。
It is lucky there is field beyond the garden so there is spacious.

Rの優しさはJから受け継いだと私は感じています。
Jと一緒に彼女の庭を見て歩き、彼女が花々や木々、
庭について説明してくれました。
彼女は初めてあった時からとても親切でした。
私は彼女が大好きです。

I feel R's kindness is inherited from his mother, J.
I walked and looked at J's Garden with J who explained
about plants and her garden to me.
She has been kind to me since I first met her.
I love her very much.

今年、マンチェスターは冷夏で
植物の状態はよくないとJは言いましたが、
結構、花々はよく咲いているように私には思えました。

She said they had a cold summer this year,
so the plants were not good,
although the plants looked good to me.

Jが以前よりも元気になっていて、良かった！
J gets better than before , it is good!

J一人では庭の世話は無理なので、庭師さんが入っています。
It is impossible for only J to look after the garden,
so a gardner comes.

一度、パブへみんなで行きました。
We went to a pub once.

マンチェスターの地ビール
ジョセフホルツ醸造所 / Joseph Holt's Brewery は1849年創業。
未だに54ガロン樽でビールを作っている唯一の醸造所と言われています。
ガロンの定義は国によって異なるようですが、
通常、1ガロンは3.7- 4.7リットル。
IPAは'インディア・ペールエール / India Pale Ale'のこと。
