1) 金箔 / Gold Leaf
'加賀百万石'と言われているので、豪華なイメージは金沢にはあり、金沢は
実際の理由は、２つと言われています。
ひとつは、箔の製造に適した湿度と温度、水質に恵まれた気候。
もうひとつは、忍耐強い職人気質と技術です。
静電気が起こりずらい気候なのです。
お店もいくつかあり、私達は"箔座"というお店に行きました。
定員さんの説明を聞きながら、金箔入りのお茶をいただきました。
1㎤の金から、約10㎡ の金箔をつくることができるそうですが、その工程を思うとほんと、技がいるな〜と思います。
店内には金箔制作の映像があり、とても面白そうでしたが、全部を見る時間はありませんでした。残念！

Gold Leaf
'Kaga Hyakumangoku' means Kaga Domain / Kaga-han 's Kokudaka.
According to Wikipedia about Kokudaka: ★
"Kokudaka (石高) refers to a system for determining land value for taxation purposes in Edo period Japan and expressing this value in koku of rice."
Kaga Domain's Kokudaka was 1 million which was very rich in the Edo period (1603- 1868), so Japanese people have an image that there was a wealthy area.
Therefore if we heard Kanazawa's product has been Gold Leaf for a long time, we would think, indeed.
In fact why one of their products is gold leaf, they say is because of two things,
1) The climate suits them: ideal moisture, temperature and water.
2) Craftsmen: patient personality and good skill.
The climate does not allow static electricity.
There are a few Gold Leaf shops: Kanazawahaku: Kanazawa Gold Leaf (★).
We visited one of them, "Hakuza" : ★, and while we listened to an explanation by the shop assistant, they gave us a cup of tea with gold leaf.
I would consider it really needs high skill and technique.
They show a film in the shop and I was very interested in the film, although I did not have enough time, so I could not watch it all.
That's too bad.

復元された"黄金の茶室"
オリジナルは、豐臣 秀吉 (1537 - 1598) が造らせた作らせた
平３畳 (★) の茶室です。
それは、組み立て式でしたので、持ち運びが可能でした。
1586年に御所に運び込まれ、
正親町天皇 (オオギマチテンノウ,1517-1593) に披露しています。
千利休 (1522 - 1892) の思想と相反するものですが
建築家の堀口 捨己 (ホリグチステミ / 1895 - 1984) は
'利休が制作に関与しなかったわけはない'
と述べています。
現在、復元されている黄金の茶室は他に６ヶ所、日本にあります。
この茶室には、４万枚の金箔を使用しています！すご〜〜い！
ここは平３畳 よりも広い気がします。
Restored "Golden Tea Ceremony Room"
Originally ordered by Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537 - 1598).
The original was a portable pavilion of three Tatami.
In 1586, it was carried into the Imperial Palace and
shown to Emperor Ōgimachi (1517-1593).
The tea room is opposite to Sen no Rikyū (1522 - 1892)'s thought,
who advocated Wabisabi culture.
However, an expert and architect, Sutemi Horiguchi (1895 - 1984) suggested that
"Sen no Rikyū must have taken part in designing the room."
Today, there are 6 other restored rooms in Japan.
Hkuza's room used 40,000 pieces of gold leaf, Wow!
I feel their room is larger than three tatami.

| 磁器作品 この作品に金を施すかどうか思案中 金を使用するにしても、金箔でなく、こちらは金のラスターを使います。 Porcelain Work I am thinking that I will add gold colour to this. Even if I decided to use gold colour, I would not use gold leaf, I would use gold lustre. |
