| 敷地に入って家までには、'キッチンガーデン'が広がっています。 私は'キッチンガーデン'と思うのですが、彼らは 'Orchard / 果樹園'と'Herb Garden / ハーヴ園' と呼ぶのです。 パンフレットを読みましたら、 以前はキッチンガーデンであったと記されていました。 There is a kitchen garden near the entrance to the house. ティールームに隣接するガーデンが 'Mulberry Garden / 桑の庭'です。
私は、この作品を読んだことがありませんから、想像のしようがありません。
でも、作家にとって身近かな環境が大切であることを感じます。

The 'Mulberry Garden' is beside the 'Tea-room'.
The story "Rewards and Fairies" (初版、1910) by Joseph Rudyard Kipling is set here.
I haven't read it, so I could not imagine anything.
However, I feel the immediate environment is quite important for any author.

ここは "Quarter Deck" (船尾甲板)と名付けられています。
この名前からも、頻繁に洪水があったことがうかがわれますよね。
There were floods from the nearby river and the water came to the line just in front of the house.
Here is called "Quarter Deck" .
From this name, we can understand how here often had floods, can't we?

| 水車小屋(製粉場)の近くには蜜蜂の巣箱が... There are beehives close to the mill. 鶏もいます... There are fowls, too...  I could guess they were self-sufficient.  井戸もあります。 There is a well, too. |

| ときどき、ここで製粉作業は行われています。 全粒粉もお店やチケット売り場で販売されています。 Sometimes they mill flour here. They sell wholewheat flour in the shop and the entrance. |
