ギルフォードは英国の南西、サリー州ので、ロンドン南西部から
約43Kmです。
ギルフォードは、ファーナムを少々都会よりにした町に私には思えます。
私はファーナムが好きですし、国際都市であり、大都会である
ロンドンも好きです。
でも何故かギルフォードは、歩いていて楽しい町であるのにかかわらず、好き！
とはっきりいえない何かがあります。
さらに、R のご両親は、この町で出会い、彼らは結婚し、年がたった今でも、とても仲良しです。
なので、私にとって、ギルフォードはロマンチックな印象があるのです。
それでも、何故か、私にはこの町を愛する気持ちがわきません。

Town
Guildford is the county town of Surrey which is about 43Km to the southwest of London.
I feel Guilford is as if Farnham becomes more urbanize.
I like Farnham and I love London which is an international city as well as a megalopolis.
I could enjoy walking in Guildford, although I do not say why I do like Guildford.
Moreover, R's parents looked lovey-dovey when they told me about how they met in Guilford.
They are much older now, they are still happy, so I felt wonderful and my impression was romantic about Guildford.
I have been to Guildford a few times, although the town has something for me, who could not say I love the town.

The shop is one of a chain, their range of kitchenware is over 10,000 different items.
Just looking is fun!
Most chain have one style, however, Steamer trading cook shops are all different.
Guilford branch is quite modern, isn't it?
I visited the shop looking for tea cosys, because a Japanese friend, 'W', asked me to look for one, she could not find a lovely tea cosy in Japan.

'More Curious and More Curious' is grammatically collect, although they might be created by Lewis Carroll's playfulness or his love of nonsense.
He wrote many nonsense poems like a"Jaberwocky" in "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There"(1871).
This exhibitions were opened at Guilford Museum and Guilford House Gallery.

"Through the Looking-Glass" was written in Guildford in 1865.
And while he was walking on the Northdown to the North of Guildford, he made "Jaberwocky" and "The Hunting of the Snark" (1876).

Lewis Carroll visited his sister's house : 'The Chestnuts', in Guildford at Christmas holidays and many weekends from Oxford.
The Looking Glass sculpture is located in Guildford's Castle Grounds in a walled garden where adjacent to 'The Chestnuts'.
When he visited there at Christmas holiday in 1898, he died.
He is buried in The Mount Cemetery in Guildford.
