1) 無教会主義 / Non-church Movement
"石の教会・内村鑑三堂" : ★も行きました。
軽井沢高原教会も、"石の教会" も
内村鑑三 (ウチムラ カンゾウ / 1861 - 1930) に関係するものです。
軽井沢高原教会については下記。
石の教会は、内村鑑三の無教会主義と結びついています。
その中に、人の手で作られた教会でなく神の手によって作られた大自然(天然)を教会とする考えがあります。
教会よりも十字架を重視し、
"イエス・キリストは無教会であった"
"パウロは無教会であった"
との理解を共有することが多いと言われています。
私は、幼い頃に
[1971 / 監督：フランコ・ゼフィレッリ(1923 - 2019 ; ご冥福をお祈りいたします)]
という映画を見て感動したことがあり、映画で使用された歌 : ★を思い出すことができます。
内村鑑三の思想を理解しようと試みると、この映画が思い浮かぶのです。
双方に共通するのは、神の教えよりも、教会という組織が中心になってしまっていることに疑問を感じる部分ではないかと私は思います。
神の教えは、教会の中にあるのでなく、自然の中にこそあるという思考が "ブラザーサン・シスタームーン"のフランチェスコ [主役 / モデルはアッシジのフランチェスコ (1181 or 1182 – 1226)] と内村が行き着いた場所なのではないかと思います。
内村には教会はなく、フランチェスコには教会がありました。
フランチェスコの教えを受け継ぐフランシスコ会（修道会)は、現在でも存続されていますが、内村の目指したキリスト教は、宗教というよりも、1つの学問として扱われているようです。
石の教会が内村の無教会主義と結びついていると言われるのは、大自然を教会と考える内村の思想と結びついたということなのだと、私は理解しました。
ここは 、"石の教会" と呼ばれていますが、公式的には、"石の教会・内村鑑三堂"という名前です。
内村の思想(無教会)に添うように名付けているところに、日本的な配慮を感じます。
'岩の教会' (テンペリアウキオ教会) と
'木の教会' ("カンッピ礼拝堂") を思い出しました。
これらの教会も自然素材を用いて建てられていることから、少なからず、内村の思想と共通するものがあるように思います。
また、教会の所在地も北欧と軽井沢で、似た印象があります。

Non-church Movement
I and my husband R visited Karuizawa Kogen Church with my friend RI in Karuizawa, and then "Uchimura Kanzō Memorial Stone Church": ★.
Both the Karuizawa Kogen Church and the "Stone Church" are related to Uchimura Kanzō (1861 - 1930) : ★.
About the Karuizawa Kogen Church, below.
Near the Karuizawa Kogen Church, there is "Uchimura Kanzo Memorial Stone Church" : ★, which is linked to Non-church Movement of Uchimura Kanzō (1861 - 1930) : ★ and we visited there.
The stone church is associated with Kanzo Uchimura's Non-church movement.
Non-church movement is an idea that inherits the spirit of Protestantism but does not accept the need for sacrament such as baptism and the church system.
Among them, there is an idea that the 'church' is not a church made by human hands but the church is nature made by God's hands.
It is said that this movement places more importance on the cross than churches and often shares the understanding that "Jesus Christ did not have a church" and "Paul did not have a church."
When I was a child, I watched a film :
Director : Franco Zeffirelli (1923 - 2019 ; I pray for his soul)],
I was impressed and can remember the song : ★ in the film.
When I try to understand the ideas of Uchimura, this film comes to my mind.
I think that what they have in common is that they are more sceptical about the fact that the organization of the church is more central than the teaching of God.
I think that the idea that the teachings of God are not in the church but in nature is the place where Francesco [the main character/ his model Francesco di Bernardoneis (1181 or 1182– 1226) ] and Uchimura of "Brother Sun Sister Moon" both reached.
Uchimura had no church and Francesco had a church.
The Franciscans, who inherit the teachings of Francesco, still exist, but Uchimura's form of Christianity seems to be treated as an academic discipline rather than as a religion.
My shallow understanding does not grasp the whole idea of Uchimura, but his belief seems to be a mixture of Animism (Nature worship) and Christianity.
I understand that the fact that the Stone Church is said to be associated with Uchimura's non-churchism is associated with Uchimura's idea of thinking of nature as a church.
This is called "Stone Church", but officially it is named "Uchimura Kanzo Memorial Stone Church".
I feel Japanese consideration because the name is based on Uchimura's idea (no church).
When I heard of the 'Stone Church', I remembered the Rock Church : "Temppeliaukio Church (Temppeliaukion kirkko)" and the "Wooden Church" : "Kampin Chapel" in Helsinki, Finland.
Also, the locations of the churches are in Nordic and Karuizawa, which gives a similar impression.
Since these Churches are also built using natural materials, I think they have something in common with Uchimura's ideas.

According to Jomo Karuta Cards website,
"Jomo is an old name for Gunma Prefecture.
Karuta is a Japanese card game played mainly during the New Year holidays.
Jomo Karuta is comprised of 45 picture and word cards, each of which depicts Gunma's historical figures, geographical features, cultural activities, etc."

内村鑑三の思想は、1つの宗教を確立するには 至らなかったけれども、 軽井沢高原教会や石の教会を通して、後世に残りました。 無教会を謳った彼の思想が教会を通して 一般に語り継がれることは、皮肉なことです。 ですが、心に彼の思想が残った人は一生、 その思想と共に生きられるのです。 宗教とはそういうものなのかもしれません。 Although Kanzo Uchimura's ideas did not lead to the establishment of a religion, they remained in posterity through the Karuizawa Kogen Church and the Stone Church. It is ironic that his idea of non-church is passed down to the general public through the church. However, those who have his thoughts in their hearts can live with them for the rest of their lives.
