開園時間が午後１時から５時までと短いのですが、
それだけあれば、十分かな〜と思います。

They only open 1:00 ~5:00pm,
it is quite short.
However, I think it is enough for there.

有料の庭に入る前も結構楽しめるものや場所があります。

There are quite enjoyable places and things to see before their main garden with fee. 

錆びて、良い感じに！
They are rusty, so they became good!

このセンスには、ちょっと戸惑いました。
I was bewildered by this sense.

この造形物はなんですか〜？
What are they?

これはカラスか？鴨か？
Is this a crow or a duck?

わからない....でも、
なんとなくひょうきんでおもしろい...
I do not know....although somehow
it is funny and interesting...

彼らはカラスでしょう、きっと！
They should be crows!

馬の親子ではないでしょうか？
Might be they a mother and a child of horse?

巨大なまつぼっくり！
ここは恐竜のいる世界でしょうか？

ここは、普通のイングリッシュガーデンに思えます。
I think here is a normal English garden.

ここから、有料の庭へも行けますが、
一般的には違うルートを使用します。

It is possible go in the main garden from here,
although the normal approach is different.

❸Worthing Trip - Cissbury Ring -B, 26th of July

Cissbury Ring

あちらは海側！
ブライトンの町並みが見えます。
(ブライトンですよね？)

This way is towards the sea!
We can see houses in Brighton.
(Is this Brighton?) 

頂上に向かうことに..,
We are going to walk to the top...

ヒースかな？大きい〜！
Is this heath? BIG~~!

頂上！ / The Top!

違う方角から'わんちゃん'がやって来ました.
The doggie came from a different direction to us.

買い主が来るのを待っています。
It is waiting for the owner who is coming.
やっと一緒に！
良く似ていて笑いがちょっと出てしまいました！

Finally together !
They are quite similar, so I could not stop a little laugh. 

頂上からの景色を見納めて、下ります。
We looked at the views from the top enough
then we are going to walk back down the hill.

歩いていると広すぎてリングになっていることを
あまり意識できません。
こうしてみると、やっぱり、
リングなんですよね。

While I walked on the ring which is huge, 
so I could not notice the ring shape well.
However, if I look at here from this angle, 
I can feel I am on the ring. 

もとの場所に戻って来ました。
We return!

シシンブリーリング/  Cissbury Ring では、大きな空間をゆったり楽しみ見ました。

贅沢な時間と空間であったと思います。

I enjoyed the huge area and calming effect in Cissbury Ring.

I think it was a luxurious time and space.

❷Worthing Trip - Cissbury Ring-A, 26th of July

シシンブリー•リング / Cissbury Ring

ヨーロッパで、青銅時代から鉄器時代に建設された要塞兼避難所を
'ヒル フォート/ hill fort'
と呼びます。

シシンブリー•リング / Cissbury Ringは、この一つであり、ワーシング / Worthing の北に位置し、サセックスの中では一番大きく、イングランドでは２番目に大きなヒル フォートで、5000年前に作られたと推測されています。

石灰質/ チョークの高い丘部分の65エーカー(260K㎡)を囲む堀と土塁が残存しています。

ナショナルトラスト / National Trust : National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or National Beaty が管理しています : ★ 。

It is called a 'Hill Fort', built as a fortress and shelter between the Bronze and Iron Ages in Europe.

Cissbury Ring is one of them, situated North of  Worthing, and is the largest hill fort in Sussex, the second largest in England and they say it was built 5,000 years ago. 

The ditches and the banks are the remains of a defensive wall enclosing 65 acres (260,000㎡) set on a high promontory made of chalk.

National Trust : National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or National Beaty looks after it : ★.

足もとには、こんな植物
There are plants like this at our feet.

まだそんなに登ってもいないのに、振り返ると
見渡す限りのフィールドが広がっていました。

Although I did not still climb so much and took a backward glance
there was fields as far as my eyes could reach. 

この蝶を撮っていたら、地元の人らしいかた(下の写真)から、
「上にはたくさん蝶がいるわよ」
と微笑みながら教えてくれました。

When I took a photograph of this butterfly,
a lady who looked like a local (below photograph) taught me that
'Further up has many more butterflies'
and gave me her smile.

彼女は珍しく、犬の排泄物のための袋とスコップを持っていました。
自然の中やナショナルトラストが管理しているところは、
穏やかに犬の買い主に糞の処理を促していますが、
殆どの買い主は放置しています。
なので、彼女は大変珍しい部類に入ります。
孫らしい坊やと一緒でしたから、
教育上ということもあるのかもしれませんね。

まあ、買い主側からすれば、自然は自然の中で何が悪い！
町でもあるまいしってことでしょう。
確かに、自然の中を散策していると、
こんな場所で都会のルールが
必要なのかという思いもするのです。
でもキューガーデン系列の敷地では、
どんなに広大な林の中でも
盲導犬以外の犬は連れて入れません。

Unusually she has a bag for her dog's excrement.
Often in places looked after by the National Trust,
they gently suggest to owners taking the excrement,
however, most people do not.
Therefore she is very unusual. 
She was with a boy who looked like her grandson,
so it might be part of his education.

Well, for the other people, it might be not so bad 
 that nature is in nature!
and they are not in towns or cities.
Indeed, when I walk in natural places or woodlands
I wonder if urban rule are necessary here.
However, they do not allow dogs in
 Royal Botanic Gardens Kew group, except for guide dogs, 
even though there is a huge woodland.

気持ちがのびやかに...
My feeling becomes free....

肉眼ではここまで見えないけれど、
カメラのレンズはここまで見える！

Even though my eyes cannot see like this,
the lens of my camera can catch this!

殆どが毛を刈られています。

Sheep
Most have been sheared of their wool.

ここで一休み
We had a rest time here.

彼女が言ったとおり、本当にたくさんの蝶がいます。

As she said, there are many butterflies.
There are many kinds of butterflies.

ここには牛！
Here are cows!

あすこが頂上らしいけれど、
一直線に登らず、もっと回ってみることにしました。

There might be the top, although we decided 
we would walk around more rather than go straight there. 


地面が白いので、石灰質/ チョーク/ Chalk で
あることを認識します。
The ground is white so I recognize it is chalk.

さっきの人たちと彼らの犬は、帰るようです。
The lady, the boy and the dog seemed to return.

私達はもうちょっと進みます。
We are going to go a little further.

一瞬、骨かと思い、どっきり！
でも実際はチョークの固まりです。

For a moment, I thought this was a bone of something
 then I was upset.
However, it is a lump of chalk.
