どの部屋も庭の撮影も、許可をいただいています。
I had permission for photographs in every room and their garden.
3) 他の部屋 / Other Rooms
このブログでは順序が逆になっていますが、私が庭を撮影しているところを彼女が見ていたらしく、屋内に戻ってきた私を、呼びかけてくださりました。
私は自分のことを少し話し、写真は、次への個展のデータにしたり、刺激にしたりするとも伝えました。
写真は、記念にもなりますが、私にとっては、ドローイングのひとつ、そのことが最も大切なことなのです。
なので、良い写真を撮るという思いで、シャッターは切っていません、ただ、美しいレイアウトを心がけることはありますし、この美しい景色を残したいと思う気持ちも時にはあります。
その結果の写真が自分で良い写真だと思えたなら、それはそれでラッキーなことです。
これらのことは彼女に話してはいませんが、彼女は、私を連れて、ほかの部屋も見せて説明してくれました。
Other Rooms
Here, the sequence in my blog is back to front in that she seemed to look at me who photographed their garden and then when I went back inside she talked with me.
I introduced a little of myself and told her my photographs will be my data for my next exhibition and are stimulation for myself.
My photographs become memories, however, they are part of my drawings, this is most important for me.
Therefore when I click a shutter I do not think of getting a good photograph, although I try to make a beautiful layout or sometimes I feel I would retain this beautiful view.
As result I could feel that if the photographs are good, which is lucky and I am lucky.
I did not tell her this, though she happily showed and explained to me about their other rooms.

ダイニング ・ルームから螺旋階段であがった2階に私達の部屋はありました。
螺旋階段を使用して部屋に行くような形は初めてでした。
私達には、複数の荷物を持っての階段の上りは、ちょっときついです。
その螺旋階段は美しいものの、一方でネガティヴな気持ちを多少もちました。
私達の表情をさとったのか、いつものことなのか、オーナーのブレンダ / Brenda がいくつかの荷物を持って助けてくれました。
ブレンダは私よりも年上に見えたので、私は彼女の手助けに躊躇しましたが、自分達のコンディション (手術した脚) を考えて彼女の好意に甘えました。
彼女は、手作りのキャロットケーキも用意してくれ、私達は部屋でゆっくり食べました。
私は英国でも日本でも、甘いものはあまり得意ではないけれど、B&Bで出される手作りのケーキやスコーンは通常よりも前向きに食べ、喜ぶ自分がいます。
そこには、各オーナーの旅の疲れを癒そうとするホスピタリティーがあり、それを嬉しく感じるのでしょう。

| 美しい螺旋階段
2階部分は、私達の部屋だけです。
バスルームに行くには、一度ベッドルームを出て階段の踊り場を
通らなければなりませんが、他には部屋がないので、苦には感じませんでした。
Beautiful Spiral Staircase This only led to our room. When we go to the bathroom, we go out from our bedroom door and across the landing. However, there is no other room, so it did not make me anxious so much. |
Warm Service
The
last place we stayed in our 'North Yorkshire Trip was a B&B
: The Grange Bed and Breakfast in Nottinghamshire.

Our room was up the spiral staircase.
It was the first time I had used a spiral staircase for a B&B's room.
It is a little hard work for us that we go up with our several bags.
The spiral staircase is beautiful, on the other hand we looked at it our feelings were a little negative.
B&B's owner, Brenda might catch our faces or it was normal that she carried our bags up to help us.
She looked older than me so firstly I hesitated to accept her help although
I considered my condition ( my legs were operated on) and then I was spoiled by her kindness.
Moreover, she gave us her carrot cake and we had them in our room with relaxation.
I do not have sweets so much in Japan or in Britain, however, if B&B gave us their sweets, I would have them positively and enjoy more than usual.
Because there might be each owner's hospitality after a tiring trip that I might welcome and be pleased.

| B&Bにはしばしばビスケットや水などが用意されています。 英国なら紅茶とケトルは必ず。 でもここは、それらの他に、スナック類もかなりあります。 There are often biscuits, water and others in B&Bs. If it is in Britain, there must be a kettle and teabags. But here, there are also a few other snacks. |
バスルーム / Bathroom

| タオル類 、シャンプー、リンス、石鹸などが、 一泊分よりもたくさん用意されていて、贅沢さを感じさせてくれます。 タオル類はみんな柔らかで肌に優しい...。 ここがちょっと残念なのは、お風呂がなくてシャワーだけなのです。 連泊でないのでシャワーだけでも妥協できました。 There are shampoos, treatments, soaps and towels for more than one night, the quantity made me feel luxurious. All towels are soft and kind for our skin. Just one thing, unfortunately, our room does not have a bath, only a shower. It was not more than one night, I could compromise.   |

| バスローヴもふかふか 時々、使い古されたような、硬い生地のバスロームにもお目にかかるので、 生地が柔らかいと幸せな気持ちになります。 Bathrobes are soft, too Sometimes I look at bathrobes which seem to be worn out and hard, so if it is downy material like these I can be happy. |

| 旅先で、私達はかなりの回数、部屋で飲んだり、食べたりします。 ひとつには、Rの食べられない食材が多いこと、 もうひとつには、Rは運転する時はアルコール類は口にしないので、 宿泊所が街中にない場合は部屋で夕飯をとることが多いのです。 We often have alcohol and meals in our rooms in trips. One of reasons, R cannot eat many ingredients, another one is that when he drives he does not have alcohol so when our B&B or hotel is not in a city, we have them in our room. |

| 作りものの花ですが、こういうイディアはきっとブレンダのものであろうと 思うと、暖かな気持ちになります。 This is artificial product, although I guess this idea came from Brenda, and I feel heartwarming. |

| 部屋の窓から 私のカメラのズームでぎりぎり撮影できたのが、これです。 ぼけぼけちゃんですが、ブログに使用することにしました。 微笑ましい場面でしょう？ 基本、私は鳩があまり好きではないのですが、これはいいかなっと..... The View From Our Room The zoom of my camera is at its limit. It has no focus although I still decided to use it for my blog, because the scene is smile‐provoking, isn't it? Basically I do not like pigeons or doves, but I feel this is alright .... |

| 長期滞在、もしくは定期な宿泊者はリヴィングルームも自由に使用できます。 短期でも使用できるおでしょうけれど、短期では使用する時間がありません。 Long stay or regular guests can use living-rooms as they like. Even short stay guest might use, although they do not have much time for enjoying them.  |

| 彼女の部屋 ここで彼女はくつろぐそうです。 写真にはありませんが、マイセンのコレクションがガラス棚にあり、 その中に私のつたない折り鶴を飾ってくれていました。恐縮です.... 私のつたない折り鶴でさえも、私の作品として扱ってくださる優しさに感謝。 Her Room I heard she is relaxed in this room. This does not show the glass cupboard doors which has her collection of Meissen, and she displayed my unskillful Orizuru: paper crane, in the cabinet. Thank you. Even this unskillful one was treated as my work with her kindness, I am grateful. |

| 素敵なウィローパターン ウィローパターンの食器は彼女の祖母から受け継いだもの。 これはコレクションの一部です。 Lovely Willow Pattern Willow Pattern's Tableware was inherited from her grandmother. This is part of her collection.

この柄にはちょっと悲しい話があるのですけれど、
その話よりも、この柄がヨーロッパで東洋趣向として好まれ
18世紀から人気があります。

| 彼女がキッチンを誇りにおもっているのが感じられました。 満足できるキッチンで料理をするのは、楽しさが違いますよね、 ねっ、ブレンダ！ I feel she is proud of her kitchen. Indeed, it is differently enjoyable whether we cook in a satisfactory kitchen or not, Brenda! |

| 私の朝食 彼女のお料理は、重くなくて、日本人にあっているように感じます。 My Breakfast Her cooking is not heavy, I feel it suits Japanese. |

| 一羽でいる白鳥は珍しいと思います.... 何かあったのでしょうか？ Now, I think it is unusual for a swan to be alone.... What happened to it?  |
7) 庭 / Garden

| ガーデンの道具が飾りとして使用されています。 The garden tools are used as decorations. |

| 英国の庭にはときどき小さな仏像があります。 東洋への憧れでしょうか？ Sometimes there are small Buddhas in British Gardens. Are they yearning for the Orient? |

| 私の庭には使用できない数々のもの達、 でもブレンダの庭にはあっていると思います。 I could not use many of these for my garden although they suit Brenda's garden.       |

| りんごの木があるのは、いいなあ〜〜！ I admire apple trees are in a garden! |
