1) お花見 / Ohanami

公道のソメイヨシノ
家の前に樹齢80年を超えるソメイヨシノ(染井吉野)があります。
そのおかげで自宅で桜を楽しむことができます。

Yoshino Cherry on the Public Road
 Yoshino Cherry in front of our house
 is over 80 years old.
Thanks to this, we can enjoy the cherry blossoms at home.

桜の枝
公道から庭に枝を広げています。

Cherry Branches
Branches are spread from the public road over our garden.

昨年は、'桜のカーテン'を感じさせるほど、庭に枝を伸ばしていました。

けれども、いつの間にか、伐採され、今年はあまり枝が伸びてきませんでした。

Last year, there were branches in our garden that made me feel like a 'cherry blossom curtain'.

However, they were cut back before I knew it, and the branches did not grow much this year.

それでも見上げれば、満開の桜を見ることができました。
Still, when I looked up, I could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

今年は個展準備に追われ、お花見をする機会を昨年のようには

作れませんでした。

それでは味気ないように感じていました。

今日は、夫Rが庭で、私が作ったお皿の裏をスムーズに

してくれていました。

その横で、即席でお花見の席を設けました。

This year, I have been pressed by preparation for my exhibition that 

I couldn't make the opportunities to enjoy cherry blossoms : Ohanami like last year.

 I felt it was an insipid life .

Today,  in our garden my husband R smoothed the back of the plates I had made.

Next to that, I set up an instant cherry-blossom viewing spot.

窓に映る桜
二重の窓のリフレクションが面白い効果を出しています。

Cherry Blossoms Reflected in the Windows
The reflections in the double-glazed windows
had an interesting effect.

2) 鉢植え / Potted 

アネモネとミニシクラメン
冬から今まで、長い間、楽しませてくれています。

Anemone and Mini Cyclamen
They have been entertaining for a long time from winter to now.

紅葉ゼラニウム
小さな挿木からここまで成長し、花も咲き始めています。

Maple Geranium
They have grown from small cuttings to this point,
and flowers are beginning to bloom.

2) 地植え / Grounded 

紫蘭
紫蘭 (シラン) が蕾をつけ始めました。

Hyacinth Orchid : Shiran
Hyacinth Orchid has begun to bud.

芝桜
芝桜 (シバザザクラ) は昨年よりずっと元気に咲いています。

Moss Phlox 

Moss Phlox has blossomed much more than last year.

新芽
山紫陽花の新芽がたくさん出ています。

Shoots
There are many shoots of mountain hydrangea.

フリージア
知らないうちに、フリージアにたくさんの蕾がついていました。

Freesia
While I did not know, there were many buds on the freesia.

たんぽぽ
この形のたんぽぽ (蒲公英) が庭にさているのを初めて見ました。
これは、カントウタンポポ (関東蒲公英) または
アズマタンポポで在来種です。

Dandelions

For the first time, I saw this type of Dandelion in our garden.

This is a native species of 

Taraxacum Platyphylla (Kanto Dandelion) or Azuma Dandelion.

ミニチュア・ロック・ガーデン
私が始めたミニチュア・ロック・ガーデンを
一昨年からRが引き継いで作っています。

Miniature Rock Garden
 I started the miniature rock garden and 
R has carried on from the year before last.
