The Year of the Rat is associated with the Earthly Branch symbol 子." Japan uses the 12-year cycle of animals too, particularly when they appear at the beginning of the New Year. In Japan, last year was the Boar (Pig in China) and this year is the Rat. |

あけまして、おめでとうございます。このセクションは、2020年になって書いていますが、内容は2019年6月18日です。
多くの写真と資料の整理ができず、半年間ブログを止めたまま、年を越し、2020年になってしまいました。
英国へ行った年はいつも更新が滞るのですが、再開するのが年を超えてしまったのは今回が初めてです。
今日から、"一歩一歩：ステップ バイ ステップ / Step by Step" を自分自身に言い聞かせつつ、ブログを再開します。
写真を整理した結果、先行してブログにあげた項目より、過去のものを見つけました。
それが2019年6月18日の飛行機内、i-phoneで撮影したものです。
From 2019 to 2020
A Happy New Year!
This section is written in 2020, but the content is 18th of June in 2019.
I couldn't organize a lot of photographs and data so I had stopped my blog for half a year and it is already New Year, 2020.
Updates are always delayed in the year I visit Britain, but this is the first time my restarting has been in a New Year.
I start my blog today, telling myself "Step by Step".
As a result of organizing the photographs, I found photographs older than the earlier sections of my blog.
These were taken on 18th of June, 2019 by my i-phone.
2) 機窓から / From Aeroplane Window
何回、飛行機に乗っても、私には機窓からの雲海の景色は魅力的です。
色々なことが想像できること、その景色そのものが印象深いことが理由でしょうか？
あとで見ると似たような写真だったり、それほど感動的な景色でもないものもありますが、その時は、わ〜ッと感動し、なんども撮影してしまいます。
雲海ではありませんが、朝焼け、夕焼けの景色も、とても素敵で感動的で、撮影せずに入られません。
ですが、朝焼け、夕焼けの景色の感動を写真に残すのは、雲海の景色よりも、私には、ずっと難しいです。
いつか自分の作品で表現できるでしょうか？
From Aeroplane Window
No matter how many times I have flown, the scenery of a sea of clouds from aeroplane windows are attractive for me.
Is that reason that I can imagine various things and the scenery itself is impressive?
When I look at the photographs later on, they are quite similar or some sceneries are not so impressive, when I look out, I am impressed, "WoW" and I have photographed many times.
Although it is not a sea of clouds, sceneries of the sunrise and sunset are also very lovely and impressive, so I cannot stop taking photographs.
However, it is much more difficult to catch the impressiveness of the sunrise and sunset scenery in photographs rather than the scenery of the sea of clouds.
Can I someday express it in my work?

2017年のフライトの時に、JALの日本から英国行きの食事が以前よりも向上したことを感じました。
あの時は、あるフードコーディネーターが監修された食事でした。
そのフードコーディネーターは、映画『かもめ食堂』{2006 / 監督: 荻上直子 (オギガミ ナオコ / 1972 -) / 原作 [2006 / 群ようこ (1954 -) / 幻冬舎]}に参加された、
飯島 奈美 (イイジマ ナオミ/ 1969-) さんだったと思います。
2017年の夏に、ヘルシンキの "かもめ食堂" / "RAVINTOLA KAMOME " へ行ったので、おぼろげながら、記憶に残っています。
"かもめ食堂"訪問は下記。

随分前に、ハーゲンダッツ アイスクリームがANAで出された時、通常よりも美味しく感じました。
この日のJalのフライトでもハーゲンダッツが出され、とうとう、Jalも！とちょっと感動しました。
今までJalで、他のアイスクリームが出されたことはありましたが、ハーゲンダッツがやっぱり美味しい！
一般的に機内食は美味しくないと言われますが、それを少しでも向上させようとする日本人は食べることが好きであり、日本文化でもあり、その努力は勤勉さでもあるように感じます。
まあ、でも機内食はそれなりにで、いいような気もします。

In‐flight Meal
When I had my flight by JAL in 2017 from Japan to Britain, I felt their meals had improved.
At that time a food coordinator supervised the meal.
I think the food coordinator, Naomi Ijima (1969 -) worked for a film, "Kamome Diner " {かもめ食堂, Kamome shokudō / 2006 - / Director: Naoko Ogigami (1969 -) / Original novel : Yoko Mure (1954 - ) }.
I visited Kamome Diner ; "RAVINTOLA KAMOME" in Helsinki in 2017, so I vaguely remember her name.
About visiting Kamome Diner ; "RAVINTOLA KAMOME", below.
Many years ago, when I had flight by ANA they served Häagen-Dazs Icecream,
I felt the taste of their Häagen-Dazs Icecream was better than usual.
In this JAL flight, they served Häagen-Dazs Icecream, I was a little impressed, "Finally JAL did!".
Before JAL had served other ice cream, but I just felt Haagen-Dazs was better.
In general, it is said that in-flight meals are not delicious, however, I feel it is part of Japanese culture to keep looking for even small improvements, including in in-flight meals, and their efforts seem to be diligent.
And anyway Japanese love eating!
Well, I feel JAL in-flight meals are reasonable and good enough now.

残念ながら、入賞者による機内食は、日本発便で、かつ、一食のみでした。
Unfortunately, only of the in-flight meals is developed by prizewinners and only when departing from Japan.
