ブラックライトシアター
演目: "Aspects of Alice / 様々なアリス" ; チラシとチケット
1950年の上演から7000回以上公演されています。
ドンジョバンニといい、これといい、ひとつの劇場がほぼひとつだけを
上演し続けていることに驚かされます。
ちなみに連続上演(ロングラン)が世界最長の戯曲はロンドンでの
1952年以来、上演回数2万回を超えています(★)。
こちらもいつか見てみたいものです。
Black Light Theatre
Program: "Aspects of Alice" ; Leaflet and Tickets. It has been played over 7,000 times since 1950. I am surprised by this and "Don Giovanni" in which each theatre has continued mostly staging only one production.
Incidentally, the most long-running play all over the world is "The Mousetrap"
by Agatha Christie (1890 - 1976) in London.
It has been played over 20,000 times since 1950.
I would like to look at this one day.

Black Light Theatre in Prague
"ブラックライトシアター: ブラックライト劇場" (★) を初めて知りました。
黒いカーテンとブラッックライト (紫外線:UVライト) とスポットライトを用い
イリュージョンの世界を作ります。
暗いステージに蛍光性の衣装や小道具などが浮かび上がり、役者が宙を舞います。
そのテクニックは、"ブラック・キャビネット " と呼ばれます。
セリフはなく、パフォーマンスと音楽で最初から最後まで物語は表現されます。
テクニック自体は、どこかで見たな〜、なんとなく、懐かしいな〜と感じました。
テクニッックそのものは新しいものではありませんが (寧ろ古典的?)、それを一貫して演劇を作っているスタイルが新しいところでしょう。
前日見たマリオネットの劇は伝統的なスタイルで、それとは対照的な新しいスタイルです。
このようなスタイルの演劇を上演する劇場を
"ブラックライトシアター: ブラックライト劇場"と言います。
初めてこのスタイルの演劇が上演されたのはプラハです。

Black Light Theatre in Prague
It
was the first time, I knew of the "Black Light Theatre".
The
black curtains, black lights : UV-A lights and spot lights are used
for illusion worlds.
In
the dark stage, fluorescent clothes or props rise and actors fly.
The
Technique is called "Black Cabinet".
No speech,
only their performances and music make the story from beginning to the end.
I
saw this technique somewhere and I felt it nostalgic.
The
technique itself is not so new (rather, classical method?), although they consistently use the
technique for their play which is a new style.
I
saw "Don Giovanni" by Marionettes the day before which
is traditional style and in contrast Black Light Theatre style is new.
The play was first performed in Prague.
Today,
“Black Light Theatre” is all over the world, although the theatre
concentrates in Prague.

私がどこかで見た、懐かしいと感じたのは、昔の映画、TVなどで見たからでした。
ジョルジュ・メリエス / GeorgesMéliès (1861 - 1938) は、ブラック・キャビネットを使用したと英語版のWikipediaでは説明されていますが、実際どの映画に使用されたのかわかりません。
彼の最も有名な作品は、映画『月世界旅行』(1902)
彼は『月世界旅行』(1部:1865 / 2部:1870)
[ジュール・ヴェルヌ / Jules Gabriel Verne (1828 -1905)] 作 と
『月世界最初の人間』(1901）
[H・G・ウェルズ / Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946) ] 作 ]
を参考にしました。

Wikipedia explains Georges Méliès (1861 - 1938) used Black Cabinet but actually I do not know in which film he used it.
He was a founder of SFX : 'Spacial Effect / Tokusatsu.
His most famous work is a film, “A Trip to the Moon”(1902)
→★: this is over 100 years old, surprise! In 1905, it was released in Japan, too.
He referred to “From the Earth to the Moon” (part 1 :1865 / part 2 : 1870)
[by Jules Gabriel Verne (1828 -1905)]
and ”The First Men in the Moon” (1901) [by Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946)] .
I feel that I like most of Méliès's work and I like the worlds referred to in theses author's works.

We went to a Black Light Theatre, Ta Fantastika Theatre and the program was "Aspects of Alice".
The play is based on "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (1865)
by Lewis Carroll (1832 -1898), however, it is quite a different play.

3) 感想 / Reviews
導入部分はルイスのアリスのキャラクターを用いていますが、その後は、少女アリスが女性として自立したり、恋をしたり、死を経験し、生まれ変わったり、そこに聖書の要素をからめたりしていると理解しました。
私が理解できたのは、これくらいです。
著者 (Petr Kratochvíl) は、もっとたくさん訴えたいことがあるようです。
チェコの歴史を匂わせているとか、チェコにおけるキリスト教とユダヤ教の関わりを混ぜ込んでいるとか、あるようですが、私には捉えられませんでした。
もともと彼らの歴史も、キリスト教とユダヤ教の関わりも十分に知っている訳ではいないので、それらを表現していても、わかるはずがありません。
歴史を少しでも知っておくことは、他国へ旅行するときの礼儀かもしれませんね、すみません....。
それでも、ブラックライトの演劇を初めて経験できたことは良かったですし、純粋に私には演劇もおもしろく感じました。
特に視覚面においては、とても楽しかったです。
さすが 'アニメーションの国' (私にとっては)だな〜と舞台を見ながら思いもしました。
そういう意味ではチェコを感じる演劇でした。
そしてもしかしたら、彼らの目的はコレ、チェコを感じさせることなのかもしれません。
私においては、それは成功しています。

Reviews
I understand that the Alice in the introduction part follows Lewis's Alice, later the girl Alice becomes independent as a woman, she is to fall in love, has experience of death, is reborn and there are elements of the Bible.
I could understand just like that.
However, the author (Petr Kratochvíl) seems to want to tell us much more.
There seems to be that it hints the Czech history, and mixed interactions between Christianity and Judaism in Czech...which I do not catch.
Basically I do not know enough of their history and the connections between Christianity and Judaism so that even though they represent these it is impossible that I understand or recognize.
It might be propriety that when we visit a foreign country, I am sorry.
However, I am pleased I have experienced Blacklight performance and simply I felt the play was interesting.
Especially I enjoyed aspects of the visual sensation.
While I looked at the stage I thought indeed Czech is 'Animation Country'.
In this view, I felt Czech from the play.
And also it might be their purpose like this they would let us feel Czech.
It succeeded on me.
