昨年、F友人からこの本をもらい、既に読んでいましたが、最近
『萩尾望都 対談集 1970年代編』を読んだ機会に、再び目を通してみました。
この対談集について下記

『'KAWAIDE 夢ムック' 総特集 萩尾望都』は
萩尾望都さんの自伝です。
この本のメイン記事は「わたしのマンガ人生」で、この本の主旨はここにあります。
萩尾作品のみでなく、プライベートな人生までも知りたいと思う人が読む本です。
萩尾作品はどのような人生を歩むと出てくるのか、どのようなもの、事に、影響を受けて出来て来たのか、どのような交友関係があるかなどという読者の好奇心を、ある程度満たしてくれます。
最近は分野の境がなくなり、どんな分野の創作者に対してでも
'アーティスト'と呼びます。
いろいろな考え方がありますが、私は基本的に'アーティスト'の作品は、自己表現であると思っています。
そしてその考え方のなかでも、作品のみが自己表現であり、'アーティスト'と切り離すべきだと思う人がいたり、作品と自分自身も含めてが自己表現であると思う人があったりしますし、家族までも含める方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんね。
最近は自分自身をもさらけ出して表現する傾向にあると思います。
その理由のひとつとしては、人々はプライベートが守りたくても、
それが完璧にはできない世の中になってしまっているからだ思います。
さらけ出す覚悟をしてさらけ出してしまったほうが、守る姿勢よりも、楽なのかもしれません。
萩尾さんのところまでくると(十分な経験があり、彼女自身についても彼女の思考も作品を通して表現して来ていますから）、ナンデモコイ！って感じなんでしょうね。
人生で抱えていた自分のトラウマや問題を既に解決されているが故にこういう本も出版可能なのだな〜と思います。
この本の最後に、アメリカンコッミック用に左開き作成された
『月蝕』という漫画が載っています。
原作を右開きにかえず、そのままの掲載なので、本の終わりからページをめくります。
神秘的で素敵な作品です。
This book is for people who want to know about Hagio's work as well as her private life.
If the readers want to know how life made Hagio's work, where Hagio's work has come from, what kind of influences she had, and her relationships, they could be satisfied by this book.
Although there are all sort of thoughts, I think basically Artist's work is self-expression.
Even though the thoughts have many type of ideas, some Artists think only their works are self-expression and Artist itself should be separate from the works, and some other Artists think their work and their life are it, and some Artists might think even including their family.
I think nowadays the Artist's expression tends to expose the Artist's self with their work.
In my view that one of the reasons that in this world people could not guard their private lives, even though they would prefer not to show them.
If people decided to open their life, this could be easier than hiding their private life.
Hagio has enough experiences and showed herself and her thoughts through her works, so she might feel she has nothing to hide, 'Come on! everything!'.
I think she has already had solutions to her problems and traumas in her life, so it became possible to produce this kind of book.
The book ends with her work : "Gesshoku: The Eclipse of the Moon" which was published in an American Comic.
The style follows the original, so you turn pages from the left, that is opposite to the Japanese way, it means that for readers you start from the last page.
The work is mysterious and lovely.

Last year, I was given this book by my friend F, and I had already read it, although later when I read "Moto Hagio, 1970's Collection of Discussions - Vol 1", I scanned it again recently.

is Moto Hagio's autobiography.
The main article is "Watashi no Manga Jinsei: My Life of Manga", and the article shows the point of this book.
If the readers want to know how life made Hagio's work, where Hagio's work has come from, what kind of influences she had, and her relationships, they could be satisfied by this book.
