ゴーヤ- 8月17日／Goya 17th of August

1)  ゴーヤ / Goya: Bitter Melon 

お盆の間、帰省されていたお隣のゴーヤの水やりを頼まれました。

無事に枯れずに成長？してくれたようで、ほっともし、とても短い期間でしたが、愛着がわきました。

Goya: Bitter Melon

My next-door neighbours went back to their parents' home for Bon Festival, they asked me to look after their Goya while they were away.

I watered them and they looked fine when neighbours came back.

I feel relieved and became fond of the Goya even though I only looked after them for a short while.

最近は、すだれがわりにゴーヤを育てるところがあり、
お隣もそのようです。
良いアイディアですね。

Nowadays some people grow Goya instead of 
using a bamboo screen, like next-door.
It is a good idea, isn't it?

大きくなった！
It became big!

育ちすぎですね。
It might grow too much.

まだ、赤ちゃん？
This might still be a baby?
