1) 入り口から大桜 / Entrance to 'Ozakura'
2月に、私と夫Rは、久々に鎌倉広町緑地へ行き、3月には2回、大桜の様子を見に行きました。
大桜は樹齢 200年以上と言われています。
In February, I and my husband R went to Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi for the first time in a while, and in March we went to see the Big Cherry Tree : 'Ozakura' twice.
It is said that 'Ozakura' is over 200 years old.

| 鎌倉広町緑地・ 地図 各入り口近くに大きな地図があります。 Map of Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi There is a large map near each entrance.  お花見中に飲食しないで欲しいという内容の告知。 きっと例年なら大桜で、飲食を伴うお花見をする方が いらっしゃったのでしょう。 Announcement that you should not eat or drink during Cherry Blossom Viewing Parties : 'Ohanami'. I'm sure that every year, there were people who enjoyed 'Ohanami' with eating and drinking under 'Ozakura. |

| 大桜だけでなく、たくさんの背の高い桜が咲いています。 緑地の殆どの桜は オオシマザクラ(大島桜)と言われています。 Not only 'Ozakura' blossoms but also many tall cherry trees are in bloom. Most of the cherry blossoms in Ryokuchi are said to be Prunus Speciosa : Oshima- zakura.  白いふわふわ 桜といえば、ピンクのイメージでした。 オオシマザクラは白くて私には新鮮です。 White Fluffy Speaking of cherry blossoms, it was a pink image. The speciosa : Oshima- zakura is white and fresh to me. |

| ウグイスカズラの花 ウグイスカズラ (鶯神楽) ：★をこの緑地で知りました。 日本固有種です...漢字の名前がいかにも 日本という感じがします。 Uguisu-kazura I found out Uguisu-kazura (Lonicera gracilipes var. gracilipes) It is endemic to Japan ... I feel that the name in kanji : 鶯神楽 is really Japanese. |

| 老木の花 前回来た時よりもずっと咲いています。 これは満開後でしょうか? 一斉に花を咲かせる満開という状態が この老木にあるのかもわかりません。 Old Tree Flowers It has been blooming much more than when we came last time. Is this after full bloom? I don't know if this old tree can be 'in full bloom' with flowers blooming all at once.  大桜もオオシマザクラです。 フワフワ感は少ないですが その大きさと樹形の面白さが特別です。 'Ozakura' is also Oshima- zakura. There is only a little fluffy feeling, but the size and the fun of the tree shape are special.  200年も咲き続けてくれて、どうもありがとう！ お疲れ様です。  Thank you so much for continuing to bloom for 200 years! Thank you for your hard work. |

'花より団子' の二人 お弁当を広げる二人の女性達は 遺産問題のお話をしていらっしゃいました。 遺産問題の話の合間に、お弁当のおかずの話をしていて 微笑ましい二人でした。 樹齢200年の桜は、人々の色々な話を聞いてきたのでしょね。 Two People of 'Hana Yori Dango' The two women who opened their lunches were talking about heritage issues. In between their talking about heritage issues, it was funny that they also talked about dishes in their lunch boxes. The 200-year-old cherry tree has listened to various stories from people, hasn't it? |
According to Wiki about Ohanami ; 花より団子, Hana Yori Dango,
"The teasing proverb dumplings rather than flowers (花より団子, hana yori dango) hints at the real priorities for most cherry blossom viewers, meaning that people are more interested in the food and drinks accompanying a hanami party than actually viewing the flowers themselves."

| 遠くから見るとフワフワ感はあまり感じませんが、 カメラのズームで見ると、華やかな花です。 'Ozakura' doesn't feel fluffy when viewed from a distance, but if I zoom in on the camera, it would have gorgeous flowers.  |

| 今日は20人くらいの方々に会いました。 一人の方もいれば、グループの方もいました。 犬を連れた方もいましたし子連れの方もいました。 年齢層の幅が広いのは、桜の季節だからでしょうか？ We met about 20 people today. Some were alone and some were in groups. Some had dogs and some had children. Is it wide range of age groups because it is the cherry blossom season? |

体調がよかったので、霊光寺に向かいました。

We were in good condition, so we headed to Reikoji-Temple.
