1) 我が家の庭 / Our Garden
葉牡丹が空へ向かって、ニョキニョキ伸び始めるのは、春の到来を告げると思っています。
午後の休憩に庭に出ると、葉牡丹がだいぶ縦長に伸びていました。
冬の寒さで縮こまっていた他の花々は、今日は、暖かな空気で解放されたように咲き出しています。
「もう、春！」
自分も庭で背伸びをしました。
Our Garden
I think that Ornament Kale begins to grow toward the sky, signaling the incoming of spring.
When I went out to the garden for an afternoon break, the kales were growing vertically.
Other flowers that had shrunk in the cold of winter are now blooming as if they were released by the warm air.
"Already spring!"
I also stretched in our garden.

| マーガレット マーガレットの和名は木春菊 (モクシュンギク)です。 葉が春菊に似ていますね...でも食べられません。 通常は濃い緑の葉が、明るい緑で、 なおかつ枯葉が目立っています。 少し心配な状態ですが、花は複数咲き始めています。 花の鮮やかさが期待を持たせてくれます。 このマーガレットは、我が家に来て数年たちます。 Marguerite The Japanese name for Marguerite is Mokushungiku. The leaves are similar to Glebionis Coronaria : Shungiku... but we can't eat them. (In Japan, we eat young leaves of Shungiku.) The usually dark green leaves are bright green, and dead leaves are conspicuous. I'm a little worried, but multiple flowers are starting to bloom. The vividness of the flowers gives me hope. This Marguerite has been our garden for a few years. |

| オレンジのパンジー オレンジのパンジーは、苗を植えた時から 元気がありませんでした。 最初は、他の花と一緒の鉢でしたが、 これだけ別に植えて見守ってきました。 (実作業は夫Rがしました） 最近、咲き始め、今日は複数の花が咲いています。 まだひ弱な印象ですが、それでも嬉しい！ Orange Pansy The orange pansy has been sick since the seedlings were planted. At first, it was a pot with other flowers, but this was planted separately and I watched over it. (Actual work was done by my husband R) Recently, it has begun to bloom, and today some flowers are in bloom. This still gives a weak impression, but I'm happy! |

| 冬も今も ミニシクラメンは、冬も今も咲いています。 冬より今の方が元気に思います。 シクラメンと言えども春は好きなようです。 Winter and Now Mini cyclamens are still in bloom now and through the winter.. I feel they are better now than in winter. Even cyclamens seem to like spring. |

2) お隣の梅 / Ume : Japanese Plum Next-door
梅の木は我が家にはありません。
ですが、お隣には古木の領域に入る、紅白の梅の木があります。
お隣のKさんは、毎年、紅梅の実で梅ジャムを作り、私達にお福分けしてくださいます。
いつも、ありがとうございます！
甘いものが得意でない私ですが、Kさんの梅ジャムは好きです。
他のジャムと比べると、減り方が早いので、ジャム好きのRが心配します(笑)。

Ume : Japanese Plum Next-door
There is no plum tree in our garden.
However, in the next-door garden there are red and white plum trees which might be called old trees.
K San next door makes plum jam from red plum fruits every year and gives us some as happiness sharing.

I'm not good at sweets, but I do like K San's plum jam.
Compared to other jams, it shrinks faster, so jam-loving R worries about it (Laugh).
