    Sound of Rain and Splashes of Water

日頃、1階で夫Rが2階で私が過ごしています。

Rが雨が庭のデッキに降り注ぐ写真 (下の画像) を見せに2階へきました。

私の作品傾向や興味が水であったり、リフレクションであったりするので、それに沿った写真でした。

彼は私が彼の写真に触発されて私が自ら、雨の写真や動画を撮影することを促したかったのです。

確かに、彼の写真 は、私にとっては面白い写真でした。

また、私の創作に協力したいという彼の意向もありがたく思いました。

なので、ちょっと腰は重かったのですが、1階へi-phoneを持って撮影しに行きました。

Sound of Rain and Splashes of Water

My husband R is usually on the ground floor and I am on the first floor.

R came upstairs to show his photographs, above of the rain falling on the deck in our garden.

My work tendencies and my interests are water and reflection, so the photographs are in line with that.

He wanted me to be inspired by his photographs and encourage me to take rain photographs or videos myself.

Sure, his photographs are interesting for me.

I was also grateful for his intention to cooperate with my creations.

It took me a while to start going to the ground floor with my i-phone to .

私の動画

彼の写真ほど、面白い動画ではないけれど、こういう1つ1つの積み重ねが大事だと思うので撮影してよかったと思います。

私のブログも創作へ向けた1つ、

私にとってはスケッチブックなのです。

その結果は個展にあるのです。

It's not as interesting as his photographs,

 but I think it's important to try step-by-step, so I'm glad I took it.

数日前に友人Izuからお菓子が届きました。

お菓子については下記。

それ以後、Rは毎日1つづつ食べるのを楽しみにしています。

私はその1つから、一口分、お福分けしてもらいます。

私は、Rとは違い、甘党ではないので、それくらいでちょうど良いのです。

② 2021年9月4-7日 Rのお誕生日・月 - お菓子/ R's Birthday Month ...

Since then, R has been looking forward to eating one each day.

From each one, I take a bite which is our happiness share.

Unlike R, I'm not a sweet tooth, so that's just fine.

セット
2階の私のところへ、Rがこのセットを持ってやってきました。
トレイ、小皿、マグカップ、フォーク、ハサミとどれも
お気に入りの品々です。
トレイ、小皿、マグカップは、旅行先々で購入。
思い出も蘇ってきます。

Set

R brought this set to me on the first floor.

Tray, small dish, mug, forks, scissors are all my favourite items.

We bought the tray, the small dish, and the mug in our travel destinations.

Memories can also come back.

鎌倉山の空 / Kamakurayama Sky

最近、鎌倉山の空では、テリトリー合戦が起きているように感じます。

'鎌倉山の空' と言っても、まあ、我が家から見える範囲です。

春には鶯が占拠(センキョ)していた電柱や電線にトンビの方が、最近よく来るようになりました。

8月には鶯の声もせず、姿も見かけなくなりました。

8月半ばまたは後半あたりから、以前よりもカラスの姿を見るようになりました。

ここ何年かカラスが減ってきていたので嬉しく思っていましたが、

また増え始めているように感じます。

1種類のカラスでなく2、3種類のカラスがいるようです。

カラスの撮影もしますが、どうも、画面でアップにすると自分の気分が良くなく、ブログに載せる気持ちになれないのです。

カラスを可愛く感じる人々もいますし、ペットにされている方もいますが、私は苦手です。

カラスはグループになって、トンビを追払います。

彼らのチームワークと賢さを感じます。

私も夫Rもトンビの味方ですけれど、カラス軍は強いです。

雨が降ったのでトンビが濡れています。
このトンビはいつものトンビではないように感じます。

The black kite is wet because it rained.
I feel that this black kite is not the usual black kite.

Kamakurayama Sky

Nowadays, I feel that a territory battle is taking place in the sky over Kamakurayama.

Even if I say "the sky over Kamakurayama", it is within the range that I can see from our house.

In the spring, Japanese Bush Warbler had occupied the utility pole and cables that nowadays, black kites often occupy. 

In August, I didn't hear Warbler's sings, and I couldn't see him or them.

From mid-August or late August, I started seeing crows more than before.

I was happy that the number of crows has been decreasing in the last few years, but I feel that the number is starting to increase again.

It seems that there are a few types of crows instead of one type.

I also photograph crows, but I don't feel good when I put them up on the screen, and I don't feel like showing them in my blog.

Some people find crows cute and some have crows as their pets, however, I cannot love them.

Crows form a group and drive away Black Kite.

I feel their teamwork and intelligence.

Both I and my husband R are on the side of Black Kites, but Crow army is strong.

一羽でなく二羽かも？
彼の後ろにもう1羽？

Maybe two instead of one?
Another one behind him?

二羽でした。
カップルでしょうか？
親子でしょうか？

There are two Kites.
Is it a couple?
Is it a parent and child?

三羽でした〜！
こんな情景を見るのは初めてです。

It is Three!
This is the first time I've seen such a scene.

三羽がいなくなった10分後、1羽がやって来て鳴いています。

この一羽が先程の三羽の中にいたのか、全く別のトンビなのかはわかりません。

トンビの鳴き声は、よく聞きますが、鳴く姿を撮影したのは初めてです。

Ten minutes after the three kites were gone, one was coming and calling.

I don't know if this one was among the three, or if it was a completely different kite.

I often hear Black Kite callings, but this is the first time I have taken a video of one calling.

1) ミニシクラメン / Mini-Cyclamen

北鎌倉のギャラリー花眠 (カミン) の庭はいつもとても素敵です。

2019年11月に訪ねた時は赤いシクラメンが効果的に用いられていました。

ミニシクラメン (ガーデンシクラメン) が庭の小道にキャンドルが灯されているようでした。

庭から色がなくなりがちな冬に向けて、我が家でもミニシクラメンを購入しました。

ギャラリー花眠にように上手に植えることはできないかもしれません。

まずは鉢植えにし、元気に育ったら、地植えを考えます。

今回、シクラメンの和名の1つが 'カガリビバナ (篝火花)' と知りました。

下記、Wikiからの引用。

"カガリビバナという和名は、この花を見たある日本の貴婦人

（九条武子 (クジョウ タケコ / 1887 - 1928) だといわれている）が、「これはかがり火の様な花ですね」

と言ったのを聞いた植物学者・牧野富太郎 (1862 - 1957) が名付けた。"

私が、ギャラリー花眠の庭で、シクラメンをキャンドルのようだと感じたのと似たような印象を持った方が過去にいらしたのですね。

私が今回買った花も、花眠の花もミニシクラメン (ガーデンシクラメン) でしたが、昔は大きなシクラメンだけでした。

なので、キャンドルというよりも篝火に感じられたのだと推測します。

'カガリビバナ'とはかけ離れたイメージの和名、"ブタノマンジュウ "(豚の饅頭)というのもあります。

こちらは英名を直訳した名前です。(豚がシクラメンの球根を食べることに由来しています。)

今はほとんど和名は用いられず、'シクラメン'と呼ばれていますね。

Mini-Cyclamen
We bought two pairs of two types of mini-cyclamen seedings.

Cyclamen

The garden of Gallery Kamin in Kita-Kamakura is always very lovely.

When I visited in November 2019, red cyclamen (garden-cyclamen) was used effectively.

They were planted as if candles were lit by the path in the garden.

❷ 2019年11月25日 原画カレンダー展 (庭) - 北鎌倉 / Original 

I bought cyclamen for our winter garden when the colour tends to disappear from our garden.

It may not be possible to plant as well as Gallery Kamin.

First, plant them in pots, and when they grow up well, consider planting them in the ground.

This time, I found that one of Japanese names for cyclamen is 'Kagaribi-bana' ; 'Bonfire Flower' ;  'Torch Flower'.

According to Japanese Wiki,

"The Japanese name Kagaribi-bana which was named by a Botanist, Tomitaro Makino (1862- 1957).

A Japanese lady [who is said to be Kujō Takeko (1887 - 1928)] looked at the flower and said "The flower looks like a 'Bonfire' ; 'Torch'.

He heard her saying and then named it 'Kagaribi-bana'."

In the past, there was a person who had had the same impression that I had felt that cyclamen were like candles in the garden in Gallery Kamin.

The flowers I bought this time and the flowers in Kamin's garden were mini cyclamen (garden cyclamen), but in the past there were only large cyclamen.

So I guess it felt like a bonfire rather than a candle.

There is another Japanese name, "Buta no Manju" (sow bread), which has an image far from "Kagaribi-bana".

This is a literal translation of the English name. (It comes from pigs eating cyclamen bulbs.)

Nowadays, Japanese names are rarely used and in Japan they are generally called 'cyclamen'.

2) ゴールデングリーンの野菜

ゴールデングリーンでは、農薬を散布せず、肥料は有機肥料を用いています。

畑は、北八ヶ岳エリアの標高1,000mにあります。

ご夫婦二人 (在賀さん&かもちゃん) で、作られています。

毎月1回 (6月から12月)、私はSサイズの箱を購入しています。

Golden Green Vegetables 

Golden Green does not spray pesticides and only uses organic fertilizer.

Their field is located at an altitude of 1,000 m in the Northern Yatsugatake area.

The vegetables are grown by a couple : Mr. Ariga & Kamo Chan.

Once a month (June - December), we buy an S size box.

コンパクトな印象を受けるのは、葉物がないからでしょう。
箱の中で、野菜の味がぎゅ〜っと凝縮されているように感じます。

September Vegetables 

The reason why I get the impression of compactness is 

that there are no leaves.

I feel that the taste of vegetables is concentrated in the box.

とうもろこしはローストして、到着当日食べました。
あま〜い！
とうもろこしご飯とローストと迷ったのですが、
結局ローストに...。

The sweetcorns were roasted and eaten on the day of arrival.
Swee~t!
I couldn't decide on cooking corn rice or roasting,
after all roasted....
Our box contained beets instead of onions.
R cannot eat onions, so they make this kind of consideration.
The beets were baked in aluminum foil in the same oven.

Rのサラダ 
私が冷蔵庫に作り置きしていた惣菜をRが自分で盛り付けました。
(これは彼一人分です）
右のお皿にはポテトサラダとニンジンサラダが
盛り付けられています。
ポテト (インゲンも) とビーツはゴールデングリーンの野菜です。
左のお皿のヌードルは茶蕎麦です。
とても上手に盛り付けられているので思わず撮影しました。

R served the prepared foods that I had cooked 

and kept in the refrigerator.

(This meal is for him alone.)

The bowl on the right is served with potato salad and carrot salad.

Potatoes (beans, too) and beets are golden green vegetables.

The noodles on the left plate are green tea soba.

It was arranged very well so in spite of myself I took a picture.

北海道に住む友人Izuから、ビーネ・マヤ / BIene MAJAの焼き菓子が届きました。

Izu、ありがとう！

彼女のお気に入りのお菓子だそうです。

このお菓子は、夫Rの誕生日プレゼントではありません。

ですが時期的にぴったりだったので、Rへのお祝いとして考えることにしました。

基本的にRは北海道のお菓子が好きです。例えば、六花亭。

英国の素朴でずっしりしたお菓子が彼の基本にあるので、関東圏のお菓子は、おしゃれで美しいですが、軽すぎて、彼にとっては食べ応えがありません。

北海道のお菓子は、英国のお菓子と似ているように思います。

ビーネ・マヤの焼き菓子も彼のお気に入りになりました。

4th of September

We received a box of baked confectionery by BIene MAJA from our friend Izu, who lives in Hokkaido.

Thank you, Izu!

I heard BIene MAJA's sweets are her favourite.

This was not a birthday present for my husband R.

However, it was in a perfect time, so I decided to think of it as a celebration for R.

Basically, R likes Hokkaido sweets. For example, Rokkatei.

The sweets in the Kanto area are fashionable and beautiful, but too light for him to eat, as British rustic and heavy sweets are his basis.

I think Hokkaido sweets are similar to British sweets.

BIene MAJA's baked sweets have also become one of his favourites.

賞味期限が9月15日だったので、
Rは毎日1つづつ食べることにしました。
'リボン付き' は最終日に食べるそうです。
お気に入りを最後に持ってくるところは
私と性格が反対です。

Swiss-German Traditional Sweets
The best-before date is September 15th,
so R decided to eat one every day.
I heard he will eat the one 'with a ribbon' on the last day.

the opposite of my personality.

Rはテーブルに候補を並べて、今日はどれを食べるかを
楽しそうに選んでいます。

R puts possible choices on the table and enjoys choosing
which one to eat today.

9月は夫Rの誕生日 ・月です。

その月の最初のセクションの最初のトピックを朝日にしました。

Sunrise

September is my husband R's Birthday Month.

The first topic of the first section of the month was Sunrise.

(1st of September, around 5:30)

以前は、誕生日のみ、お祝いをしていました。

それが誕生日週間としてのお祝いになりました。

外出大好きなRですが、コロナ禍で在宅生活が続いています。

なので、今回は、お誕生日・月として、毎日、何か小さな幸せを見つけて、それを誕生日と結びつけてお祝いすることにしました。

I used to celebrate only on his birthday.

Later it became a celebration for his Birthday Week.

R loves going out, but he continues to live at home because of the corona crisis.

So, this time, in his Birthday Month, I found some little happiness every day and decided to celebrate them by linking them with his birthday.

2) ワイン到着 / Wine Arrival

Rはスパークリングワインが好きです。
馴染みがあるマスター・ソムリエの高野さんに
選んでいただきました。
でも、'辛口で、気軽に飲める' という条件は
私のリクエストです(笑)。

R likes sparkling wine.

Takano, Master Sommelier is my familiar sommelier.

He selected them for us.

However, the condition of 'dry and easy to drink' 

is my request (Laugh).

スペシャルセットも購入。
Rはこのセットがお気に入りです。
このセットは複数回購入しています。

We also bought a Special Set.
R likes this set.
We have bought this set a few times.

3) ケーキ / Cake

特大ヨーグルト・ポムポム
日本では珍しいクッキング・アップルが４個、手に入ったので
特大ヨーグルト・ポムポムを作りました。

Oversized Yogurt Pompom
I got 4 cooking apples, which are rare in Japan,
so I made Oversized Yogurt Pompom.

Rはバナナの焦げたところが大好きです。
なのでこれは成功なんですよ！

R loves the burnt bananas.
So this is a success!
