1) スカイ・ロード/ Sky
Road
全長20km（12マイル）、スカイロード半島の縁を走ります。
ところが、私達がドライヴをした時は、土砂降り、雨、小雨が続き、ネットで書かれているような景色を見ることができませんでした。
天気が良ければ、美しいのでしょうと想像できるくらいには、私は景色を見ることができました。
が、道幅が狭く、くねくねと曲がり、かつ上り下りがあるので、Rはただひたすら安全運転を心がけ、ほとんど景色は見ることができませんでした。
Sky Road was close to Clifden and was written on various sites
that it is a way to enjoy wonderful scenery.
It
runs over the edge of the Sky Road Peninsula, with a total length of
20 km (12 miles).
However,
when we drove, pouring rain, rain, light rain continued, we could not
see the scenery as written on the net.
I could imagine if the weather was
nice, it would be beautiful.

最初から最後までほぼ、こんな道。車がすれ違う時は、どちらかの車が路肩に寄せます。 こんな雨の日でも結構な回数、行き違い、人気であることが察しられました。 Sky Road

私達は北からスカイ・ロードへ入ったので、
終着点がクリフデンの街になりました。
We entered the Sky Road from the North, so our end point became Clifden.

| 私だけ白ワインを飲みました。 Rは運転があるので、いつものようにカフェ・ラテ。 I has a glass of white wine. R drove, so he had a cup of cafe latte. |

| チップスへのこだわり Rの食の問題を解決するのは、ほとんどフィッシュ・アンド・チップスです。 食事が運ばれてきた後で、スタッフが満足できているかの確認にきます。 彼が、 「チップスにがっかりした」 と伝えると、新しいチップスを作ってくれました。今度は彼も満足。 私は初めて店に "チップス" の苦情を言う人を見て、 また新しくチップスを作りなおしてくれる レストランも初めてでした。 これは、文化の違いなのでしょうか？ Having Things about Chips It is mostly fish and chips that solves R's dietary problems.
After the dishes were brought, they checked to see if he was satisfied.

"I was disappointed with the chips"
Telling the staff, they made new chips.
He was satisfied this time.
I saw someone who complains about "chips" to a restaurant for the first time
and the restaurant made new chips again, also it was first time for me.
Is this a cultural difference?

Clifden is the largest town in the region of Connemara, often they say "the Capital of Connemara".

クリフデン城は、町の西にあり、現在は、廃墟です。
ジョン・ダーシーがクリフデンの町を作りました。

C スーパー は面白い！/ Supermarket is enjoyable!
この日から、通常のB&Bの部屋から、ケータリング・ルーム(自炊部屋)に移りますし、翌日は、どこへも出かけず、一日中B&Bに居る予定でしたから、食料調達は必須！
レターフラック / Letterfrack のスーパーよりも大きいです。
We would move to the self-catering room from a normal B&B's room later this day and also we would be in our room all day, so food procurement was essential!
Go shopping for food!
Here is bigger than Letterfrack's supermarket.

どこへ行っても、どの国へ行っても、私達にとっては、
スーパーマーケットは観光のひとつです。
ショッピング大好きなRにとっては、レジャーの一つでもあるようにも思います。
No matter where we go, whatever country we go to,
the supermarkets are a part of tourism for us.
For shopping lover R, I think that it is also a type of leisure.

私は、"Cahill's
Porter Cheese"に興味があったのですが、
他のチーズもありましたし、2日間分にしては量が多かったので諦めました。

心惹かれますが、この手のものはRの食べられない玉ねぎやにんにく
が入っています。
そしてこの手のものは私一人では食べられません...。
Though my heart was attracted, this type of food must contain onions
and garlic which R cannot eat.
And I cannot eat this kind of food alone.

この大きさがたくさん売られています。
ほとんどの日本のスーパーは、少量ですよね。
They sell a lot of this size.
Most Japanese supermarkets sell small amounts, don't they?

海辺の町だからなのか、アイルランドなのか、生け簀で売られています。
私は英国のスーパーで生け簀で売られている魚介類を
見たことがないかもしれません。
Because it is a seaside town, in Ireland, they are sold in a water tank
I may not have seen the fish and shellfish in a water tank sold in UK supermarkets.
