明日、お泊まりの友人を迎えます。

そのための食材を買いに、鎌倉駅周辺のスーパーへ出かけました。

午後4時頃の帰り道で撮影しました。

I'm going to have a friend who's staying the night tomorrow.

I went to a supermarket near Kamakura Station to buy ingredients for our meal.

I photographed on my way home around 4pm.

モントブレチア
モントブレチアは珍しい花ではないようですが、
私は一年に一度くらいしか見かけません。
実際は園芸種ですが、私には山間に自然に咲いているという
イメージがあります。
この花は、鎌倉山の歩道脇で咲いています。

Montbretia

Montbretia doesn't seem to be a rare flower,

 but I see it only once a year.

Actually, it is a garden species, 

but I have an image that it blooms naturally

 in the mountains.

This flower is blooming beside the pavement

 in Kamakurayama.

白い百合
綺麗な百合、その場と調和しています。

A beautiful lily, in harmony with the place.

今まで、何度撮影したかわかりません。
それでも、また、撮影してしまいます。

KOKEMARU
I don't know how many times I've taken pictures.
Still, I will photograph again.

セミ (蟬/蝉) の幼虫が動いているところを初めて見ました。

いそいで、i-phoneで録画しました。

今日のハイライト？はこの動画です。

For the first time, I saw a cicada larva moving.

I recorded it on my iphone in a hurry.

2022年7月10日、第26回参議院議員通常選挙(鎌倉区)がありました。

私の住んでいる地域は、鎌倉山集会所で、投票が行われました。

英国から本帰国後、今日、初めて私は選挙会場に足を運びました。

留学前は、選挙権を得た後、ほとんど選挙の機会は無駄にせず、投票していました。

それは中学生の時に、市川 房枝 (イチカワフサエ / 1893 -1981) さんと彼女が主導した日本の婦人参政権運動を知ったからでした。

今のように当たり前に女性が選挙に参加できるようになったのは、

彼女らの努力と行動のおかげなのだと、若い私は感動したのでした。

ヘタレな私ですが、選挙権を得た後は、貴重なその選挙権をつかう！という使命？のもとに選挙会場へ向かいました。

ですが、本帰国後は、選挙日を忘れたり、何か用事があって投票日に行かず、不在者投票のシステムも使用しませんでした。

ここ何年か、選挙権が郵送されてくると罪悪感を抱くようになり、

今回は、必ず！と思っても忘れるという日々でした。

へたれは、やはり、へたれです(苦笑)。

今回の第26回参議院議員通常選挙は、必ず！と思い、ようやく実行できました。

Election

On July 10, 2022, the 26th House of Councilors Regular Election (Kamakura Ward) was held.

The area where I live is Kamakurayama, the vote was taken in Kamakurayama Meeting House.

After returning from Britain I visited the election site for the first time, today.

Before studying abroad, after I got the right to vote, I did not waste most of my chances and voted.

When I was in junior high school, I learned about Fusae Ichikawa (1893 - 1981) and the women's suffrage movement in Japan which she had led.

As a girl, I was moved by the fact that it was thanks to their efforts and actions that women became able to participate in elections as a matter of course.

I'm a wimp, but after I get the right to vote, I used that precious right to vote! A mission? I headed to the election venue.

However, after returning to Japan, I forgot the day of the election, did not go to the Polling Station because I always had something to do, and did not use the absentee ballot system.

Over the years, I had come to feel guilty when my voting rights were mailed to me, and even if I thought "this time, I was sure!",  I forgot.

I'm a wimp, never change (Wry Smile).

I thought this time, the 26th House of Councilors regular election, 

I was sure!, and finally I made it.

投票のために外出したので、この機会を利用して、以前から行こうと思っていた長谷の "石渡源三郎 商店" (イシワタリゲンザブロウ ショウテン) へバスに乗って向かいました。

"石渡源三郎 商店"は、明治初年創業、老舗の乾物屋さんです。

Board the Bus

I went out to vote, so I took advantage of this opportunity and took a bus to Ishiwatari Genzaburo Shoten" shop in Hase, which I had been thinking of going to for a long time.

The shop is a long-established dry goods shop founded in the early Meiji era : 1869.

6秒の安らぎ???

バス停で風に吹かれて、微かな鶯の鳴き声を聞きました。

6 Seconds of Peace???

Blown by the wind at the bus stop, I heard the faint Uguisu's song :

 Japanese Bush Warbler.

B. 帰路 / Return Trip

"石渡源三郎 商店"とベルグフェルド/ Bergfeld・長谷店は近い距離にあります。

"石渡源三郎 商店"の帰りに、"ベルグフェルド" でも買い物をしました。

鎌倉山へ戻るのに、ここからもっとも近いバス停は、長谷観音バス停で、それは"ベルグフェルド"から徒歩5秒ほどの場所にあります。

時刻表を見ると、次のバスまで、まだ時間があったので、あえて、

鎌倉方面の "海岸通" バス停へ歩きました。

バス停の名前は、"海岸通" ですが、実際の道路は、

"由比ヶ浜大通り"と呼ばれています。

This shop is mainly the cafe, but bread, cakes and
cookies are also sold.

入り口は、脇道にあります。
The entrance is on a side street.

Return Trip

"Ishiwatari Genzaburo Shoten" shop and "Bergfeld, Hase Branch" are close to each other.

On the way back from "Ishiwatari Genzaburo Shoten" shop, I also shopped in "Bergfeld".

The closest bus stop from here to return to Kamakurayama is 'Hase Kannon' bus stop, which is 5 seconds walk from "Bergfeld"? 

Looking at the timetable, there was still time until the next bus, so I dared to walk to the "Kaigan-dōri" :' Seaside Street' bus stop in the direction of Kamakura.

The name of the bus stop is "Kaigan-dōri", but the actual road is called "Yuigahama- ōdōri".

ダブル・トール・コーヒー
以前、由比ヶ浜大通りを走るバスから
鮮やかな青いバンを見ました。
今日、そのバンの前を通りました。
"ダブル・トール・コーヒー"というコーヒーのチェーン店
のバン : "Double Tall Coffee" でした。
個人の方が経営しているかと思われましたが、
全国展開している会社の経営でした。
鎌倉で試験的にバンでコーヒーを売っているように思えす。
私が見たときはこの場所でした。
(2023年1月、JR鎌倉駅西口徒歩2分の場所に移動しています)

Double Tall Coffee

I once saw a bright blue van 

from a bus running on Yuigahama-ōdōri.

I passed by that van today.

The Van : "Double Tall Coffee" was managed 

by a coffee chain shop called "Double Tall Coffee".

I thought it was run by an individual, however,

 it was run by a company that operates nationwide.

It seems that they are selling coffee in the van

 in Kamakura on a trial basis.

This was the place where I saw it previously.

(January 2023, it has moved to a 2-minute walk from 

the west exit of JR Kamakura Station)

チャーミングな古い家
バスから外の景色を眺めていると、
いつもこの家に目が止まります。
どこがどうとはっきり説明はできないのですが惹かれます。
今日は歩いていたので、しっかりと撮影できました。

Charming Old House

This house always catches my eye 

when I look outside from the bus.

I can't explain exactly where and how, but I'm attracted to it.

I was walking today, so I was able to photograph well.

たまに外出すると、新しい何かが必ずあり、気になっていたこともいくつか解決できます。

外の空気は、心身ともに健康にします。

だからと言って、頻繁に外出できないヘタレはかわりません (苦笑)。

'たまに' なので、新鮮にものごとを見られるということを、ここでは強調しておきましょう！(笑)

When I go out once in a while, I always find something new and solve some of my questions.

The air outside is good for both body and mind.

Nevertheless, I don't go out often;  I can't change my wimpishness (Wry Smile).

Here, I should say that it is 'Occasionally', so things appear more fresh! ha, ha.

髪を切りに、代官山の ラピスへ出かけました。

JR鎌倉駅から、JR恵比寿駅へゆき、その後は徒歩でお店向かいました。

帰宅時の恵比寿駅のホームで見かけない車両が走っているのを撮影しました。

もともと出不精であるうえに、ここ2,3年はコロナ禍にあり、外出の機会が少なかったので、私の知らない間に、JRの新しい特急電車が登場したのかと思いました。

自宅に戻り、検索してみると、相鉄の車両 : ★ / ★でした。

2019年11月末に、相鉄・JR直通線 (ソウテツジェイアールチョクツウセン) が開業していました。

相鉄の正式名は相模鉄道株式会社 (サガミテツドウカブシキガイシャ)と初めて知りました。

私が見た電車は、相鉄20,000系車両でした。

Sōtetsu–JR Direct Line

I went to Lapis in Daikanyama to get my hair cut.

From JR Kamakura Station, go to JR Ebisu Station, then walked to the hairdresser's.

I took pictures of a train I didn't see running on the platform of Ebisu station when I was returning home.

Basically I am a stay-at -home, moreover, I haven't had many opportunities to go out in the past couple years due to the corona crisis, so I wondered if a JR Limited Express train had appeared without my knowledge.

When I went back to my house and did a search, it was a Sotetsu vehicle : ★ / ★.

At the end of November 2019, the Sōtetsu–JR Direct Line opened.

I found for the first time that the official name of Sotetsu was 

Sagami Railway Co., Ltd.

The train I saw was a Sōtetsu 20,000 series vehicle.

2) 相鉄20,000系車両 / Sōtetsu 20,000 Series 

相鉄20,000系車両
相鉄9年ぶりの新車両です。
これからの100年を走るそうです。
車両のブルーがオリエンタル急行を思わせます。
ああ、だから私は、JRの新しい特急電車と思ったのだと
気がつきました。
ただ、正確な色味からすると相鉄のブルーは
オリエント急行のブルーよりも透明感があります。

Sōtetsu 20,000 Series 

This is Sōtetsu's first new vehicle in 9 years.

It seems they plan to run this for the next 100 years.

The blue colour of the vehicle is reminiscent of 

the Oriental Express.

Ah, so I realized that I had wrongly thought 

it was JR's new Limited Express train.

However, in terms of accurate colour, Sōtetsu's blue 

is more metallic than Orient Express's blue.

YOKOHAMA NAVYBLUE
私が目を奪われたブルーは、
YOKOHAMA NAVYBLUE
(ヨコハマネイビーブルー)
と呼ぶそうです。
製造面で最もこだわったのがこのブルーだったのです。

The blue that caught my eye is called
YOKOHAMA NAVYBLUE.
It was this blue that they were most particular
when planning manufacturing.

相鉄のサイトでは、

"深みのあるダークブルーの塗装は、横浜の街が刻んできた歴史を

イメージしています。"

と説明されています。

Wikiでは、下のように書かれています。

"相鉄本線の拠点駅である横浜駅が所在する横浜の海をイメージしたという深みのある青色系（ネイビーブルー）の塗料に、自動車の塗料として用いられるマイカ（雲母）を配合することで輝き感を持たせた塗装としたことが特徴とされ、同社のブランドイメージの向上を目的として2016年（平成28年）春季より導入された"

この色に対する思い入れがわかります。

According to the Sōtetsu site, (translated by me)

"The deep dark blue paint is an image of the history of Yokohama."

According to Japanese Wiki, (translated by me)

"The deep blue (navy blue) paint, which is said to represent the sea of Yokohama, where Yokohama Station, a hub station on the Sotetsu Main Line, is located, and blended with mica, which is used as in paint for automobiles.

 It is characterized by the paint giving a feeling of brilliance.

The colour was introduced in the spring of 2016 with the aim of improving the company's brand image."

I can see their affection for this colour.

車両の製造期間は9ヶ月。
山口県の工場で製造され、約950kmの距離を経て運ばれました。
車両完成までの記録→★
'モノ' が出来上がってゆく過程は、非常に面白く感じます。

Vehicle production period is 9 months.
Manufactured at a factory in Yamaguchi Prefecture, 
it was transported over a distance of about 950km.
Record about the completion of the vehicle → ★ only in Japanese, 
though you can see how they make the train.
I feel the process of creating 'things' is very interesting.

かっこいい車両だな〜と思いつつ、走り去る電車を見送りました。

I turned watching the train as it slipped away, all the while thinking that it was a cool vehicle.

2022年7月5日 自宅の庭 - リトグラフ工房 / My Garden - Lithograph Studio, 5th of July 2022

今日は、大町 (鎌倉市) のリトグラフ工房へ行きました。

自宅から工房への道すがら撮影しました。

意図して撮影したわけではありませんが、時間通りに並べると、形のつながりが感じられ、おもしろいな〜、不思議だな〜と感じます...少なくとも私には、そう感じられます。

Today, I went to a lithograph studio in Ōmachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.

I took photographs on the way from my house to the lithograph studio.

I didn't intentionally photograph them, but when I put them in order, I can feel the connection between the shapes, and it's interesting and a wonder... At least that's how I feel.

試行錯誤

1つの作品を制作しているというよりも、
「これをしたら、どうなるかしら？」
「あれをしたらどうなるかしら？」

という過程です。

この作品は、テストピースになっていると思います。

Trial and Error

Rather than creating a single work, it's a process of asking, 

"If I do this, what will happen?"

"If I do that, what will happen?"

I think these works are test pieces.
