1) 電車内 / In the Train
 雪の大船観音 |
| 実家からの帰路の途中で雪が降り始めました。 電車内から雪景色の撮影をしました。 鎌倉駅到着後の交通機関の心配はあまりしていませんでした。 Ōfuna Kannon in Snow It began to snow on the way home from my mother's' house. I took pictures of the snow scenes from inside the train. I wasn't worried so much about getting home, after arriving at Kamakura station. According to Wiki about the Kannon, "Ōfuna Kannon Temple (大船観音寺, Ōfuna Kannonji) is a Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The statue stands at 25 meters/82 feet tall and weighs nearly 2,000 tons." |
2) 鎌倉駅 / Kamakura Station
鎌倉駅到着後、東口では、バスもタクシーも動いていました。
スーパーに買い物に行き、結構な荷物になりました。
買い物の後で、滑って転びそうになり、ひやっとし、それ以後、よちよち歩きをしつつ進みました。
バス停に行き、鎌倉山行きのバスは運行停止になっていることを知りました。
西口のタクシー乗り場に行くと、予想通り、タクシー待ちの行列ができていました。
それでも、タクシーが動いていることに安堵。
鎌倉はバスよりもタクシーの方が早く止まると認識していたからです。
Kamakura Station
After arriving at Kamakura Station, buses and taxis were running at the east exit.
I went shopping at the supermarket and I had a quite heavy shopping bag.
After shopping, I almost slipped and fell, and I was afraid, and after that, I proceeded walking like a toddler.
I went to my bus stop and found that the bus for Kamakurayama was stopped.
When I went to the taxi stand at the west exit, as expected, there was a queue waiting for a taxi.
Still, I was relieved that taxies were still running.
I thought that taxis would stop earlier than buses in Kamakura.
2) 山の麓から / From the Foot of the Mountain
タクシーを一時間待ち、ようやく、乗車。
けれども、タクシーは山を登ってくれず、麓で降りなければなりませんでした。
「アドベンチャー！アドベンチャー！これはアドベンチャー！」
と自分を励まし、ペンギン歩きをして山を登りました。
途中、家の前を雪かきしていた方が
「大丈夫ですか？気をつけて...気をつけて」
と心配そうに声をかけてくださいました。
「ありがとうござます。気をつけます！明日の新聞には載らないように...」
と返事をして、登り続けました。
履いていたブーツが滑りやすく、スーパーの袋の重さと戦いつつ、登りました。

From the Foot of the Mountain
I waited an hour for a taxi and finally got one.
However, the taxi didn't climb the mountain and I had to get out at the foot of the mountain.
"Adventure! Adventure! This is an adventure!"
Encouraging myself, I walked like a penguin and began climbing the mountain.
On my way up, a lady who was shoveling snow in front of her house said,
"Are you okay? Be careful ... Be careful"
she was concerned for me.
"Thank you. I will be careful! I don't want to appear in tomorrow's newspaper ..."
I replied and continued to climb.
The boots I was wearing were slippery and I climbed while fighting against the weight of the supermarket bag.

ホッとしたので、周囲を見る余裕ができました。
美しい景色がそこにもあちらにもあり、ちょっと苦ではありましたが撮影をしました。
I was relieved, so I could afford to look around.
There were beautiful scenery here and there, and although it was a bit of a pain, I photographed.

4) Rと会って / Meet R
タクシーを降りた時に家にいる夫Rへ電話しました。
彼が迎えに出てくれると言うので、雪国の長靴 (スノーブーツ) を持ってきてくれるように頼みました。
その長靴は以前、流氷を見る目的に北海道旅行のために購入しましたが、その旅行はキャンセルしたので、その後使用することがほとんどありませんでした。
私が雪景色を撮影し出した頃に、Rに会いました。
Rは雪国の長靴を持ってきてくれただけでなく、厚手の靴下も用意してきてくれました。
その上、長靴の中も、靴下も温めてきてくれていました。
彼の心遣いに感動！
ありがとう〜〜〜！
Meet R
When I got out of the taxi, I phoned my husband R at home.
He said he would meet me, so I asked him to bring my snow boots.
I had bought the boots for our trip to Hokkaido to see the drift ice, but we canceled the trip and I had rarely used them.
We met when I had started photographing the snow scenery.
R not only brought my snow boots, but also my thick socks.
Moreover, he had pre-warmed the boots and socks.
Impressed by his consideration!

5) 撮影に集中 / Focus on Photographing
スノーブーツに履き替え、Rが買い物の荷物を持ってくれ、足は暖かくなりました。
その後は、歩くことがとても楽になり、撮影にも集中でき、雪の鎌倉山をたくさん撮影できました。
Focus on Photographing
I changed into snow boots, R carried my shopping bag, and my feet became warm.
After that, walking became very easy, I could concentrate on photographing, and I was able to photograph a lot of snowy Kamakurayama.
多くの家々がおとぎの国の家に見えました。
Many houses looked like fairyland houses.

最近、個展準備に忙しく、R と一緒に散策をする時間が持てませんでした。
雪の中を二人で歩くことができ、楽しい時間に感じました。
Rもとても幸せそうに歩き、嬉しそうに風景についておしゃべりしていました。
Recently, I have been busy preparing for my exhibition and couldn't have time to take a walk with R.
We were able to walk in the snow together and I felt it was a fun time.
Also, he looked very happy walking and he enjoyed talking about the scenes.
6) 帰宅 / Arriving Home

例年、クリスマスツリーや飾りは1月半ばまで出しています。
クリスマス関係のものは雪と似合います。
Every year, we keep Christmas trees and decorations on show until mid-January.
Christmas-related things look good with snow.

| "赤い帽子の雪だるま" Rが食後にフルーツサラダを作りました。 交番前にあった雪だるまの赤い帽子が印象に残っていたそうです。 それはみかんで表現しています。 "Snowman in a Red Hat" R made a fruit salad after our meal. The red hat of the snowman that was in front of the police box left an impression on him. It is expressed in the Mikan : mandarin orange. |
山登りは大変だったけれども、終わってみれば、面白い経験でした。
美しい景色が、大変さを吹き払ってくれたように感じます。
迎えにきてくれたRの配慮にも感謝です。
Climbing the mountain was hard, but when it was over, it was an interesting experience.
I felt that the beautiful scenery had blown away the difficulty.
I am also grateful for the consideration of R who came to meet me.
