個展に向けて！
リトグラフ工房へ行きました。
最近では、扱いやすい金属板 (アルミ板 / ジンク板) が用いられ、私はアルミ版 (アルミ板を加工したもの)を使用しています。
私は、英国留学中に一度、石を使用しましたが、石に絵を描く以外のことは、技術者にしてもらったので、何も覚えていません。
展覧会のカタログや工房の映像 : ★ から察するに、イデム工房では、作り手 (アーティスト) は、ドローイングをしたり、色を決めたりするのみで、製版や刷りの作業は技術者がしています。
展覧会は、原田マハさん作の本、『ロマンシェ/ Romancier』が発端です。

Towards My Exhibition!
I went to a lithograph studio.
Lithography is
a method of printing, originally
based on the immiscibility of
oil and water, and the printing is from a stone (lithographic
limestone).
Nowadays the printing almost always uses metal plates ; aluminium or zinc,
I use aluminium plates.

I visited an exhibition : "Here You Shout, This Place is the True Centre of the World" and there, I found out that Idem Studio in Paris still uses stones.
I only used a stone once for lithography when I studied abroad in Britain, however,
I just drew on the stone and a technician worked for other processes so I do not remember anything.

I guess from the Exhibition catalogue and the film about Idem that creators drew and decided colours there and then technicians work for the other processes.
The origin of the Exhibition was the book : "Romancier" by Maha Harada (1962 - ).

| Y先生が私のために書いてくれました。 先生の工房ではほとんどの人はアルミ 版を使用しています。 '田中ゆき' (? -? )さんだけは石版を使用しています。 私が工房へ行った日に、彼女の新しいリトグラフ絵本(下)ができていました。 Y (? -?) Sensei who is my teacher and the technician, wrote this for me which shows the sequence of processes of making a lithograph with a stone, in Japanese, above. Here most people use aluminium plates. Only Yuki Tanaka (? -?) uses stones. When I visited the studio, there was her new picture book, below.  １冊、2,000円 田中さんの絵は好きでしたので、買いました。 "Kuro no Pan-ya san": "Kuro's Bakery" ¥2,000. I like her picture, so I bought this. |

| 石の角を削っています。 尖っていると刷るときに石が割れてしまうそうです。 Scraping round the edges of the stone. Because if the corner is sharp, the stone could be broken when printing.  |

| 乾いたのちに、次の過程に進みます。 乾く時間が結構かかるので、あとの作業は先生におまかせです。 ありがとうございます。 次回、製版の出来上がりを見るのが楽しみです。 After drying, it goes to the next process. It takes a long time to dry, so I depended on Y Sensei afterwards. Thank you very much. I am looking forward to next time. |

| 春になると先生は、メダカを孵化させて育てています。 通常、私は個展準備を始めるのが春なので、 メダカ君たちの成長を眺めることができます。 Y Sensei started breeding Medaka : Japanese Killifish in Spring. Normally I start preparing my exhibition in Spring, automatically I will see their growth. |
