緑をたくさん見てきたので、鮮やかな花に心が惹かれました。
I saw a lot of green, so my heart was tempted by bright flowers.

相変わらず、この手の花が好き！
Us usual, I love these kinds of flowers!

クジャクチョウ
この仲間の日本の蝶は亜種で、'Inachis io. geisha'と呼ばれ、
 'Geisha / 芸者'に由来するのだそうです。

英語名のひとつ'Inachis io'は
ギリシャ神話の神：イナコス/ Inachus (河の神)の美しい娘 : 
"Io (イーオー/ イオ)：★"に由来。

ゼウスが浮気した相手の一人がイオ、といってもイオは強制的に
その関係を強いられて彼の妻ヘラに執拗にいじめられます。
イオにとってはいい迷惑です....詳細のお話→★

クジャクにしても、ゲイシャにしても、イオにしても
それだけこの蝶が魅惑的であるということなのしょう。
名前の由来は、おもしろい！

European Peacock / Peacock Butterfly / Inachis io

Classified as the only member of the genus Inachis (the name is derived from Greek mythology, meaning Io, the daughter of Inachus). 

Io is a beautiful woman, so Zeus forced sexual intercourse 
and then his wife Hera bullied...→★

In Japan, there is a subspecific butterfly, ''Inachis io. geisha''.
It was derived from  Geisha / 芸者.

Peacock, Geisha and Io show us 
how alluring this butterfly is.
I am interested in the reasons behind a name when I know them.

森林から庭へやってきたのが確実に感じられます。
I definitely feel we came into gardens from woodland.

帰り道 / The Way Back

'Westwood Lake' (ウェスト ウッド レイク) がおおよその引き返し地点になりました。

気分的には、ただ進んでいるだけなんですけれど....

森の景色からだんだんと、庭の景色へとかわって行きます。

'Westwood Lake' became our turning point.

However, my feeling just moved ahead. 

The views were changing from woodlands to gardens.

幹に寄生している植物

'宿り木'とは呼ばないのかな？

The plants are growing from the trunk.

They are parasitic plants, aren't they?

ひこうき雲
Vapour Trail 

だんだんと庭の景色にかわって行きます。
Gradually the views are changing to gardens.

Water Gardens

花菖蒲の庭ですが、時期が遅く
花は見られませんでした。
花はなくても庭はなかなか素敵でした。

There is Hanashoubu : Iris ensata's garden,
however, the season was finished.
Though the garden was still quite lovely, even without flowers.
 
車椅子でも見学できるように、かなりのルートが整備されています。
The many routes are good for wheelchairs.

この地点から屋敷方面へ向かいました。

We walk towards the mansion from here.

Westwood Lake 

2014年7月、"Westwood Lake"は "Sussex Heritage Award"という賞を獲得しました。

私が訪れたのは2013年ですが、2014年になってこれを書いています。

The lake was awarded "Sussex Heritage Award" in July, 2014.

We visited there in 2013, although I am writing about it in July, 2014.

鴨のヒナ
だいぶ大きくなっていますが、まだ成鳥とは言えないですね。

Duckling
It grows well, although it cannot yet be called an adult duck, can it?

親鳥？
Are they their parents?

こういう小屋や、木の上の家:'ツリーハウス'が....好き！
I like sheds like this, or 'Tree Houses'.
