たくさんの庭があるので、全部は紹介できません。
また、各ガーデンの説明はパンフレットからの抜粋です。
あまりにたくさんあるので、日本語訳は載せていません。すみません....
I cannot show you all gardens, because there were many gardens.
And also the explanations for the gardens come from the Pamphlet.
They are too many for me, so I could not translate to Japanese, sorry!
紫色の部分: Inspire zone
庭の中に、前衛的なスタイルと思想が感じられました。
このゾーンでは、現代アートの表現のひとつとしての
ガーデニングなのだと思います。
でもテート•モダンの作品よりは、
直接的でわかりやすいように思います。
Purple colour part : Inspire zone.
I felt the avant-garde style and thought in the gardens.
I think gardening is one of methods of contemporary art
in this zone.
However, I think the representations are straighter and
easier to understand than the works in Tate Modern. |

253: Desolation to Regeneration
The conceptual garden explores the two phases of forest fire,
desolation and regeneration, through the abstract use of plant
colours and forms and structural sculptures.
The design was inspired by the forthcoming film
The Desolation of Smaug, the second instalment of The Hobbit.

入ってすぐの場所がこのガーデンでした。
最初から、わ〜！おもしろい！と思い、
通常のガーデンとの違いを即座に感じました。
本の『ホビットの冒険』は読んでいますが、
彼らがインスピレーションを受けたという映画は
まだ見ていません。
本だけの印象ですと、ちょっとわからないな〜....
As soon as I entered this garden, Wow!
I felt these gardens would be different from normal ones.
I have read the "The Hobbit" books,
although I haven't seen the film The Desolation of Smaug.
So I do not understand their inspiration enough
by only having read them.

ゴリールドメダルを受賞。
This garden was awarded a Gold medal and voted Best
in Category : 'Conceptual Garden' .

247:Tip of the Iceberg
Looming into view, Floating on a shimmering glass sea,
is the Tip of the Iceberg.
The sun reflects multifaceted, crystalline elements within the garden,
which on closer inspection are clearly recognisable as fridges. ~~~
Inspiration came from Japanese gravel gardens and
from seeing fridges dumped at the tip. ~~~
ゴミの山をイメージはするものの、白い冷蔵庫は美しく、
嫌悪感を抱きません。
あとで、日本の石庭からインスピレーションを得たと知って、
ちょっと驚きましたが、納得もしました。
Although I had a garbage heap, white fridges were beautiful
so I did not have hatred.
Later, I knew the inspiration came from Japanese gravel gardens
then I was a little surprised, however, I understand, too. |

249: I Disappear
Inspired by the Metallica song I Disappear,
this garden is designed to show that by producing our own crops,
we can be self-sufficient and at the same time
contribute to purifying the atmosphere.
The garden also draws attention to the continuing
loss of allotment land to development and building projects.

A man with a mask was asked with insistence by a lady,
he took the mask off and answered.

246: Ashes to Ashes
There has been a great deal of worrying publicity
about Ash dieback in the UK recently,
but we can draw a parallel with Dutch elm disease to
offer hope for the future.
Just as some cultivars of elm trees have survived,
it is possible that Ash dieback may not necessarily signal
the complete demise of the species.
枯損木(コソンボク) の被害が最近英国では
問題視されているようです。
この庭は枯損木の状態を表現するとともに、
それがすべての木々を全滅させるわけではないことも
示唆しています。
長細いひょうたん型の島になっています。
There is a long island shaped like a figure 8 .

258: The McCarthy & Stone Garden
The McCarthy & Stone Garden celebrates the wisdom of
the older generation, by challenging preconceptions of later life
and honouring the experiences of
the UK's growing over-60s population.
Built around a circular structure, the garden encompasses
three pathways leading to a hidden sanctuary area, signifying not only
the unique ways in which the brain processes memories,
but also how it then utilises those memories in day-to-day life.
高年齢の方々の持つ知恵を賞賛するとともに、
今後の人生への先入観を変える試みを提示しています。
この庭は脳内情報を処理する様を小道を通ることの経験と
重ねているのだと私は理解しました。
I understand that when people walk on paths in this garden,
the garden gives people experiences as much as
information is handled by a brain.
何か、とてもストレートな表現です。
花の選択やレイアウトは素敵！
それを経験するだけでも脳内が活性化される気がします。
Somehow the representation is very straight.
The flowers are selected and their layouts are lovely!
I felt that even only from the experience of the flowers
and their layout my brain was revitalized.
