今年はおせち料理の品数も量も減らしました。
こじんまりしてます....。

This year I made less Osechi Ryori : New Year Meal 
in amount and number.
They are small.....

次から次から、かわいらしいお菓子が出て来ます。

N family gave us Lovely Sweet Box, this year too. 
Out come tiny beautiful sweets one after another.

不動産屋さんとの話し合いで外出しました。

その前にランチを'豊島屋菓寮 八十小路'でとりました。

We went out for a meeting an agent.

Before the meeting, we had lunch at Toshimaya Karyo Hatokouji : Japanese Cafe.

何度かここでお茶をしていますが、初めて食事をしました。

一日限定各20食というランチをRと私でそれぞれいただきました。

小腹がすいたときにという量で、今日の私達にはちょうど

良かったです。

雰囲気とお店の応対、味、客層などを含めて

Rはここが結構気にいっています。

繁華街？にあって、ここは比較的静かな場所ですから、

この界隈でちょっと一息という時には最適かもしれません。

I had come a few times for tea ; below.
豊島屋菓寮 八十小路、6月1日 / Japanese Cafe, 1st June

This was the first time we had a meal here.
They only make 20 of each lunch choice.
The amounts suit people who are peckish, which we were.
R likes here because he likes the atmosphere,
the attitude of waitress or waiter, the taste and quality of customers.  
Here is relatively quiet in a shopping area, 
so when we would have rest time around here,
this cafe might be best.

お弁当箱をあける楽しさがあります。
Here is enjoyable like opening a lunch box.

私は蒸し寿司をいただきました。
I have a steam Sushi.

Rは、しそ茶付きそぼろ丼を。
どちらも気にいった様子。

R has minced rice with a cup of Shiso tea.
He likes them.

限定20食のランチとはいうものの、今日は私達だけのようでした。

Even though the meal is limited to 20, maybe only we had them today.

紅葉シーズンが終わり、鎌倉は比較的静かなのかもしれません。

After autumn colour season, Kamakura might be relatively quiet.

雨の稲村ケ崎 / Inamuragasaki in Rain

1)12月15日

今日は稲村ケ崎の物件を見に、不動産屋さんの車で、行きました。

雨降りの寒い日。

物件を見た後は、環境を見たいので、不動産屋さんと別れて行動しました。

江の電から南側の観光地部分の稲村ケ崎しか知りませんでしたが、

今回北側の住宅街を歩き、思ったよりも良い印象を持ちました。


15th of December 

Today, we went to Inamuragasaki by an agent's car for looking at possible property.

It was raining and cold.

After we looked at the property, we separated from the agent because we would look at the environment.

I only knew to the south of Enoden Inamuragasaki Station which is 
a sightseeing area.

We walked in a residential area to the North, we have better impressions than we had thought.

2)アンティークショップ "R" 
   Antique Shop "R"

以前、二階堂に住まわれていたYファミリーは稲村ケ崎に住んでいます。

稲村ケ崎でYさんが経営するアンテークショップ "R"を小さなクリスマスプレゼントを持って訪ねました。

Yさんはイベントに参加中でいませんでしたが、お店は開いていてプレゼントも留守番の方に預けることができました。
(後日、Yカップルが二階堂の家にお嬢さんのお手紙とクリスマスプレゼントを持って訪ねていらしてくださり、お茶をご一緒できました)


Antique Shop "R"

Before Y family lived in Nikaido, now they live in Inamuragasaki.

Ysan manages an antique shop "R" in Inamuragasaki, which we visited with little Christmas presents.

Ysan had gone out to join an event, although the shop was open, and we left the present with the shop assistant.
(Y couple  visited our house with their daughters' letter and a Christmas present, and we could have tea together.)

江の電の線路を超えてお店に入ります。
江の電沿いにはこのようなお店が結構あります。

To get to the shop we need to cross the Enoden track.
There are a few shops like that along Enoden.

実は、このお店は二階堂でご近所になる以前から知っていました。
英国から鎌倉に下見に来たときに既に訪れています。
ご近所になったのはまったくの偶然でした。

In fact I knew this shop before we moved to Nikaido.
When we researched for our house in Kamakura from Britain,
we already had visited.
We became the neigbours by chance.

3) カフェベーカリー / Cafe Bakery

駅前の通りからちょっと小道に入ったところに、リチャードさん
 (日本人です) が経営する"Richard"という名前のカフェベーカリーがあります。

雨の日で、なおかつ寒かったので、ここでちょっと一休みできたのは救いでした。

リチャードさんともお話ができて、良かったです。

There is a cafe bakery "Richard" in a lane from the main street.

Richard (Japanese) manages the cafe.

We walked around in the rain and cold, so we had rest time here which was very helpful.

And also we could talk with Richard, and it was good too.

4) クリスマスの飾り

   Christmas Decoration 

一般の家で、何気ないクリスマスの飾りに好感が持てました。
I have a good feeling from the casual Christmas decorations of 
a general house.
